**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

But you lose a lot of performance? drivers are fine for me.

Yeah shame about the performance, privacy and user rights need to mean something though imho, why should they just take and sell my data without asking me?

I will be back on green when Nvidia give me an option to opt out of spyware / bloatware.

You think no one else does it? Banks, phone/ISP, Insurance and many other companies do it.

Found a solution to Nvidia's bloatware, telemetry / spyware included in their drivers. >>> Click Here <<<

Yeah sucks :( seems to be the way too many companies are going these days - all telemetry should be disabled by default and prompted if you want to turn it on not the other way around same for automatic updates and notifications.

True but doesn't make it right - if I don't take steps to disable a lot of that kind of stuff on my phone for instance I've almost constant data use, having to clear dozens of notifications and performance impacted by the amount of stuff apps, etc. are doing in the background - it isn't surprising so many people complain about their PCs and phones, etc. being slow.

I think I've sorted the problem I was having with BF1 and major stutter.

Choosing Gysnc full screen and windowed. I also choose limit fps to 'monitor refresh rate'.

One if not both seems to have sorted the problem for me.

May put a few minds at rest :p

One thing I'd love to see though I doubt it would ever happen. A crazy rich person approached NVIDIA, build me the best card money could buy even if it costed 50,000 - $100,000 or more. Just to see what technology really is available.

Imagine running games at 8k all bells all whistles you name it, every setting and graphical setting available with locked 144fps.

Heh, spyware/bloatware. Suppose it is different to the XP days of everyone screaming my resources are being used up!11111

Bizarre.

Thought I'd solved my BF1 stuttering issue. But..... some maps still exhibit the same behaviour whilst others dont.

Definitely problem maps are Amines and Monte Grappa.

----

So I went back a driver to 385.28 hoping this would solve my problem. St Quentins Scar ran beautifully.

However Amines was still a broken stuttery mess. Unplayable!

---

Hmm you know what I do have running? The Gigbayte OverClock utility.

Think that COULD be the issue?

It would be weird to only effect BF1 tho.

I don't think they'd be able to make a new card or push the limits of technology for that kind of money. What they could maybe do if you offered them enough money though is dedicate a team to get 6-way SLI working.
