**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

With the 17.9.3.'s I have the same issue as 17.9.2., unable to use my two Vega's.
Now with an error "thread stuck in device driver" Drivers won't install on a fresh updated Win10 64 copy with a Dell on MST..

Win 7 is still fine.

It's a typical ocuk post tho... The moment something is wrong.. everyone blames the drivers/game/software when it's mostly down to user error or badly maintained computers..

Anybody else getting a white screen on Youtube with these drivers? It happens if I am watching something and then move the mouse. Never happened before with any other drivers.

So you have an issue and because of that you call them crap drivers?

Rolling back to the previous version doesn't experience the issue guys.
And I am using the NV sound drivers on the monitor connection over DP.
You might be not.

But forgot in here NV is religion and everyone who complains about issues is a heretic......

I wonder wtf could happen if I complain of the 40% performance drop on TWW2 when using DX12 instead of DX11?

Did you try setting the audio via 'playback devices' in the tray icon? As for the rest of your post, very silly.

Not everyone. They have released some botchy drivers the last 2 - 3 months with the drivers not downclocking for the desktop. Then the issues with GeForce Experience.

I'm wary about updating drivers and when I need to, I always keep the previous version handy until I'm sure all my games are working fine. One set would crash Rocket League but play everything else fine. The next time I installed the newest driver, it would have Escape From Tarkov crashing. It was 100% the drivers as when I went back to the previous version all was well. Now the drivers I'm using are fine for all games (* below) so it's a case of "do I want to mess around for a while or actually play some games?". I'll give these a try and hopefully it's not a waste of my time.

* (apart from BF1, I have to rename a file to bypass BF1 requesting a newer version of driver than the one I'm currently using).

No crashes, no downclock issues or game issues(BF1, Fallout 4, Divinity Orignal sin 2, Total War Warhammer 2) on these latest 385.69 drivers. Ive had downclock issues on some of the previous but thats it(turning gsync off and then back on would reset everything and downclocking would work until i restarted). Worst offender has been the twitch chat app but a custom profile with fixed refresh rate set instead of gsync fixed that.
