**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I was trying to install the latest hotfix driver from nvidia but it says its not compatible with this version of windows. I was using the windows 10 standard version.

GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 416.64

This is GeForce Hot Fix driver version 416.64 that addresses the following:



    • Far Cry 5: Flicker during gameplay
    • Monster Hunter World: Corruption is seen when Volume Rendering Quality is set to highest
    • The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt: Flicker during gameplay
    • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Improves game stability
    • When audio playback is paused, audio receiver switches from multi-channel to stereo. Increased period from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.
 
Where do old driver installations now go or do they auto uninstall all but your last driver even without geforce experience? Nvidia seem to have changed things up re files. I don't mean the downloadable 500mb file either.

Theres a graveyard but no one knows where it is. Some say it shares the same space as the legendary elephant graveyard, but it's a mystery to everyone.
 
yeah the issue is win10, well it was fine until windows released some dumbass update and now it's ruined in the latest nvidia drivers. Window borderless mode will cause flickering across the screen on high refresh rate screens. I have mine off as i play all my games w/b.
 
Ive just installed a stripped(hardremoved telemetry, defender among other things) version of windows 10 home 1809 and using cleaned/redux/stripped nvidia drivers 416.64 everything so fare has been fine as long as i disable the fullscreen optimization **** microsoft wants to force on every game.. GRRRR.

Fixed my idle multi monitor clocks instantly. Using one 1080p 60hz and one 4k 60hz screen the top 2080 Ti would idle at 1100mhz on the core and 7000mhz on the vram. Bottom card idled ok in the 300mhz core range.

Installed the new driver and now both cards downclock instantly to the 300mhz range :D
