I'm still on 441.87. Ghost Recon Breakpoint keeps nagging me at startup that I'm using 'Unsupported Drivers'. Is it safe to update to the 445.78 driver or are folk still having issues with it?

    Ta.

Obviously this isn't new (happened in December?) but why the hell is the NVIDIA control panel part of the Windows store now?

Personally not a fan of the DCH drivers, if you decide to install normal drivers, to save you any hassles, first off download the standard nv driver>unplug the internet>uninstall DCH driver>install driver>turn internet back on.

It doesn't say why the reason for this change except per Microsoft's requirements.

It's to enable auto driver installations, it makes life a lot easier when you don't know your way about PC's.

A good few niggles in the OS, but it's the most stable OS that Iv'e used, maybe they'll get back in your good books if they can blow PC pricing out the water with their next console.

I found that 445.78 reset some of my driver settings even though I did not choose a clean install. G-Sync and VSync were set back to the defaults. I noticed tearing in the first game I played, so at least it shows it is normally doing a good job.

I’ll keep an eye on them to make sure they are not getting reset.

Are these clean packages still needed anymore? Since GDPR, Nvidia’s installer has an upfront consent which allows users to choose between drivers-only or the full spyware software suite.

I suppose they will save a few MB for those on dial-up.

People found the drivers only still contained a lot of bumf.

download this https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-nvcleanstall/ then run it and go through the install as though you were going to install the drivers and look at all the software it installs there is about 20. It shows you what there is before you install so you can then just quit out.

Any driver beyond 442.19 on my system is broken because window just locks up when going into sleep.

Im on the DCHs, they're exactly the same as the standards, just smaller in file size, and faster install.

Am I the only person to always use the latest drivers then?

Not had a problem with drivers once since switching to Nvidia.
