Shame I won't be able to compete with MyBrains memory clocks, but hey ho, it's not really about that I s'pose.

Wait.. why are we going back to 800 core speeds when that isnt stock anymore? Its 850 stock > 925 boost. I wouldnt bother with pre-boost bios clocks tbh as we know they were way underclocked anyhow. Oh and i tried to underclock my 7950 before and it wouldnt show up as underclocked in GPU-Z (numbers stayed the same) even though the sliders let me turn them down.

I'll run 950/1250 later which is my factory overclock but i just tried 925 (which is the boost bios clock) and it didnt show as changed.

We all complained about how low the stock clocks were before.. then we get a bios update for higher clock speeds and now were benching at the speeds we complained about?

lol

Ok I am fed up of TDU2 now.

I spend a good couple of hours yesterday trying to work out if the 12.11 BEta's had reduced performance and all I can conclude is; I have no ruddy idea.

To start with the game refused to run the correct resolution. It reconized it in the settings menu but stated it wasn't supported...

Then once it finally allowed me to select it, it crashed.

A hour later and I FINALLY got it running ready for a bench only to find it had now turned to night in game, meaning any comparison would be meaningless.

Ultimately I managed to run a single benchmark through only to find FRAPS hadn't recorded anything, then the game crashed...

RAGE MODE INITIATED.

I gave up after that for fear of throwing my 360 controller through my screens.

Good point.

For comparison, the same reason for benching at stock anything...
You can bench relative performance for your cards, but this is for everyone, without a stock clock how can people compare the lower cards for relative performance.

I see what you're saying, but MyBrains point is kinda valid if 800mhz isn't the general stock clock anymore.

Btw, by editing ccc profiles, I've managed to get mine down to 800/1250 which shows in GPU-Z.

Standing by :)

Agree with stock clocks, not everyone wants to or has the confidence to overclock, have quite a few friends that are enjoying gaming completely at stock :)

Updates incoming, won't be doing any more testing my self for another week minimum, rebuild to do, re-install windows and I'll be restricted to a 360+120 radiator.

Just racked off my 680's and bought two 7950's. With the sale of my 680's I stand to make well over £100 with the sale of the second set of game codes and have at worst, similar performance to my 680's over three screens and if I get good clockers significantly better performance. Benches incoming comparing :).

I think if you add on 5% or less depending on how they clock to my results you will have a decent side by side comparison by the same person of 7970 CF (OC) vs 680 SLI (OC) over 3 screens.

Gregster has already been heckling me and throwing spuds at me over trust (:p).

Hope it all works out for you :)

Looking forward to your benches.

Partially updated though I have some news to make things easier inspired from other users in this thread.

I'm going to combine all results posted into a single chart for ultra easy comparison, gregster, tonester if you guys want to carry on compiling the mass of BF3 results we already have that would be fantastic and I'll get to work over the weekend getting everything else sorted out for ultra easy viewing :)
