I would like to think that honesty is something being displayed by all users here and if they was to use it, they would say they are using it. It would be cool to see some results with that being used though![]()
Don't even know what it is, enlighten me.

12.11 looks impressive, benches from 12.11 coming tonight, see how much truth the reviews carry.
@ltmatt stuck in the workshop all day, if/when 12.11 is leaked/released can you either put a link in here or fire it over to me in trust
Some gains supposedly in heaven too, might have another bash at de-throning 8 pack before his matrix arrives.

Does anyone think we should try and agree on a new set way to do a battlefield 3 demo? Maybe play out a whole level or something?
The Swordbreaker is a good one. I start when the soldiers are out of the LAV and end when I've cleared the soldiers from the RPG house. I believe this is the "standard" Swordbreaker bench.
The time demo you linked is a little short.
When i did my benchmark in the AMD benchmark thread i started it as soon as the music starts, its easy and an accurate way to start the benchmark.
I end it as soon as they say RPG!
Maybe we should play a whole level.

I agree with Rusty. Operation Sword breaker from getting out of the Lav and the level ending. I have completed the single player so any level is cool with me. I have to do 4 runs though, so nice and short levels are cool![]()

It just becomes a little time consuming really doing a whole level and the way above is a nice segment which captures everything. You don't want it to be too cumbersome otherwise you'll put people off doing it.
I don't end it when they say RPG.... I end it when you've cleared the soldiers in the car park and RPG's from the house and then you run back into the garage to tend to the wounded soldier. I end it here.
Otherwise you're missing out more explosions and combat.
So are we agreed on get out of the LAV and press F11...kill all of em go back to the marker where the wounded soldier is and stop the test?
Ok agree on that, but change the start time to as the music starts to improve consistency.![]()
It's not representative of gameplay that's all. NPC's sitting down talking in a contained environment.
You're only going to be half a second different on starting the benchmark by beginning it when you get out of the LAV. Not gonna make any difference on the average FPS readings considering it's a good 4-5 min benchmark.
Its a short scene, we can all start at exactly the same point, it makes sense to do it that way.

But the combat is not going to be exactly the same anyway.
I'm starting mine outside the LAV because as above it's going to be a half second difference on starting the benchmark at the max. And then the run is entirely representative of gameplay.
p.s. you've got mail![]()

Come on Rusty, compromise.![]()
It is a PITA to keep swapping from SLI to single and changing monitors back to surround.![]()

I shant bother with bench tests if we continue to change the rules. It is a PITA to keep swapping from SLI to single and changing monitors back to surround.![]()

Well ill stick to what ive done previously and that time demo benchmark run as its a consistent method.![]()
