The OCUK highway code

Everyone must yield to a faster car / bike if they want to overtake you or pull out from a junction.... disputes must be settled at Santa Pod before criminal charges are given for failiure to comply

To ensure the above works, everyone must sit a part 2 written exam when passing test to ensure everyone understands power to weight ratio and what cars / bikes have what.

The above does mean that certain cars on the road (i10 lol) will never be able to pull out from junctions unless either no-one is there or a cyclist / pedestrian is passing :D.

- Fast people will rarely need to give way

- Fast people will get from a to b faster as they should

- Slow people will have long journeys and not hold people up

- No more give way signs or road markings meaning saving highways agency / local council money at same time

- High earners tend to own fast cars, meaning they are more productive and able to generate more of the 50% tax band they donate to

- McDonalds employees in Nova's pay little tax so who cares if they take forever to get to work

Tractors are banned from main roads during the times of 6am and 9am then again between 4pm and 6pm. The amount of times I have to do 20mph on the A5 on the way to work because farmer John is driving his tractor is stupidly high :(

Substitute the above for any vehicle that is unable to drive at the posted speed limit, including council vans checking for road damage at 8.30am on a busy stretch road driving at 5mph.

I have the aforementioned list.

Automatic ban = flat cap, bennie hat, baseball caps worn at jaunty angles or backwards, trilby, beret (armed forces are excused)

Acceptable - Stetson, 10 Gallon hat, Stovepipe and Deerstalker

Seconded :D. I had to look up what a stovepipe was, mind. I suggest that a capirote should also go on the banned list.

What about a fedora worn with a very stylish dark overcoat? Surely that should reduce the tax you pay at least!

Like so http://www.hatsandcaps.co.uk/cid/YWOC02LJHBOGVF4HGD1G7V2LVDTARM08/Borsalino-Avalon-Fedora-P138902/

some sort of system that messures tread depth on peoples cars and gives them a warning/fine they are too low. How can i get a fine for speeding, in a car that has the best tyres on the market, yet mr jo blogs with a scrap heap running around on slicks is fine to do 60mph without a issue?

Enforce traffic laws we already have based on the facts and potential risk.

In terms of the Highway code -

  1. If you have more than 2 cars following you and none in front, you are going too slow.
  2. Fog lights are not needed in nose to tail traffic, however foggy.
  3. If in doubt, don't pull out (especially if your car is slow/you don't like driving fast).
  4. There is no point in getting up someones arse if you are not immediately about to perform an overtake

Common courtesy/sense to be honest.
