I did the BIOS update first and my temps were much higher at idle, from 35 to around 45-50. But after installing the chipset drivers, they are back down to 35

I updated my B550 about a week ago, before installing my 6900XT. Is there a new one then?

What is recommended with new chipset drivers? Uninstall the old "AMD Chipset Software" first or just intall the new over the top.

New set of chipset drivers are out.

Looks like mainly a Windows 11 support update.

Yeah if you look at the package contents in the release notes, there are no changes apart from some HPD support to the SFH driver. Not really worth installing

Seems like these chipset drivers are important to install.

They contain important security patches.

That was the last release, not this one. If you look at the release notes of the previous version, it listed said security fix
