yep same =( got this email from a company today

'We were receiving regular deliveries of the EEE PC's however ASUS are currently experiencing difficulty with obtaining one of the parts for the devices and hence availablity has been affected somewhat. Currently we have no updated ETA for their arrival. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us by replying to this email.'

The earlier versions had an internal miniPCI-E slot, this was removed in later models iirc.

if you know how to solder you can pop one back on though

Two local shops said they'd have stock on friday.

Both at £219 too, so gonna pop down there on friday hopefully .

Delays on orders at all local shops for me, including two highstreet shops..so must be on Asus' end . Wont have one for a while i doubt .

What are the other features the 2G hasnt got compared to the 4G?

All i know of so far is no webcam, less disk space, any others?

Tempted to get one till the new stock of 4G :/

I believe that the RAM is not upgradable in the 2G versions.

Worse cpu, worse battery, cant upgrade ram.

I don't understand what Asus's problem is getting the 4GB eee to suppliers. Whats the point of introducing the 2GB version I just don't understand it. I want to get one now but nowhere has them in stock. Very annoying.
