*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

Can't say I've really encountered Frenzy yet, at least not enough to annoy me.

I'm wandering around a place I want to call Forbidden Woods(I can't remember what name came up).

Forbidden Woods is a really awesome area(they all have been so far).

I bottled it just now though. I went through the area having very few problems, and just noticed I had 84000 blood echos....a level up is only 6000 for me atm so I just said nope and went back and leveled up a bit:p

Is it just me or is endurance not needed at all?

I did panic a bit when I entered an area and 3 health bars popped up!... But tbh I beat Shadows of Yharnam pretty easily first time.

Took a couple of attempts to beat Rom though...I'm crap with AOE attacks.

I'm picking up loads of runes, but can't use them. I take it I will get to somewhere that opens that up eventually?!

You can finish the game without ever getting to use runes, they require completing an optional area
Hemwick Charnel Lane
accessed from Cathedral Ward. There are quite a few optional areas and some missable stuff and you have to explore and read about the stuff in your inventory to figure them out on your own since the game never tells you explicitly about them.

I think I was a bit over-levelled for Hemwick Charnel Lane... Boss is a pushover too, but I'm pretty sure it would have been at any level!

Why do Chalice dungeons get a bad rep? I think their good. I found Watchdog of the Old Lords earlier. I think I'm getting the hang of bosses. Only had one boss death since Vicar Ameilia(Rom. I suck with any AOE attacks). Finding hunters a hundred times harder tbh. The one in Grand Cathedral is killer.

Is that boss the Witches? Every should game has "that" boss which has a mechanic to it but once you figure it out, the fight itself it's a breeze, almost pointless :D

I didn't mind chalice dungeons, but I found I only used the to chase the Platinum. I Think if they fleshed it out in the future it could be great, but I grew tired of the same visual environment after a while.

They didn't have anything like in Dark souls 3 which was their next game so I wonder if they found the idea to be a flop or just didn't think it would work there?

I've done a few chalice dungeons now. I don't quite understand how they work tbh. I must be way over-levelled for the ones I've done because I've gone through 2 now without healing at all.

I do like them though. Just need to get a more challenging one.

They get slightly more challenging as you progress, although if you're near end game or on NG+ it shouldn't be too hard.
I've died a couple times in later stages but they are manageable.
Vicar Ameilia is my kryptonite in the game, always fail against that b*tch.

I'm a bit lost now tbh. I've just beaten Amygdala(good boss, good area... Bloody glad I found the shortcut though!) and not really sure where to go next. You just beat it and you don't get any direction after it. Just a lamp back to Hunter's Dream.
I think the only other area I have been to but not gone through yet is Unseen Village, but I've been wandering around there for a while and can't see a way forward.

Have you reached Shadows of Yharnam? If not head back to the Forbidden Woods and search there for the way forward.

Yep, Unseen Village is next. If you're struggling don't feel too bad looking up a video of where to go. Unseen Village is probably the second worst place in the game to get lost with it's respawning enemies.

You can kill the Bell Maidens to stop enemies from respawning. I was surprised how much I liked the place after all the slack it got from players, really tense and atmospheric.

Well I just beat some kind of giant lightning dog(I've now decided it's more fun to describe bosses than remember their names). I don't know if I got lucky, but it was pretty much permanently staggered. It spent almost the entire fight laying on the floor!

^it's not my favourite area tbh

A blobby mass of bones just fell down from the moon for me to beat up. Luckily it seemed happy enough to just sit there as I pummeled it. I started by trying to find a way up top to kill the casters, but tbh they never hit you so didn't bother in the end. It did have an AOE attack that caught me once though.

Probably the easiest boss in the game?... Not counting some of the Chalice bosses.
