*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

A blobby mass of bones just fell down from the moon for me to beat up. Luckily it seemed happy enough to just sit there as I pummeled it. I started by trying to find a way up top to kill the casters, but tbh they never hit you so didn't bother in the end. It did have an AOE attack that caught me once though.

Probably the easiest boss in the game?... Not counting some of the Chalice bosses.

Yeah an underwhelming boss for sure, but sounds like you are back on the critical path ;).

I may pick this up as it's on sale for 7.99 and do want to replay it (flogged my physical copy with an older ps4 a year or so ago)

Right so, I still haven't got the dlc. I have a disc copy.

If I were to get the goty version for the ps store, would my save carry over?

I haven't a clue actually. I would like to believe it's safe to assume so but... things have happened before. Witcher 3 released a GOTY version and vanilla saves didn't carry over.

Took the gamble ;)
Yeah, if it hadn't I would have just started again without really minding tbh.

Further thoughts on Chalice dungeons - I really like them but for one thing. No interesting loot. They have potential, but it is just missed. If there were weapons and stuff instead of just more ritual materials they would be a great feature.

I beat a guy on a snowy roof just now. I got him probably two hits away on my first go, but he killed me. Went back and got him the 2nd time though. Probably best boss so far imo.

I still can't beat that guy in the grand cathedral. I had another 5 or 6 goes just now but I can't get close to killing him.

Ebrietas and Martyr Logarius, I must buy the game as my PS+ ran out before I managed to wrap everything up. I did beat Orphan, though, and that kills the incentive a bit:p

Ebrietas is one of the easiest bosses!

Thats what I love about these games. People have such issues with specific bosses that other people breeze. I thought Logarius was pretty hard, Mikolash took me quite a few goes because one of his AOE attacks one shot me repeatedly, Orphan of Kos because he just wrecks you so quickly if you aren't careful and Laurence, the first vicar because his second phase is awful.

Yeah as I've said, some bosses suit your play style, some don't. I always struggle with AOE attacks. With Ebreitas I struggles with the lasers which seemed to just come out of nowhere and one shot me... In the end I worked out its better to keep a bit of distance then they are eaiser to evade. Also the, charge attack kept getting me.

I've fought Blood Starved Beast 3 times now, twice harder versions in chalice dungeons, and it has honestly not even hit me once. Some people find that really hard.

The two bosses I've struggled with the most are Vicar Ameilia and Ebreitas, which are kind of similar.

The problem with Ameilia is you can come across her very early in the game, so it's tough to out DPS the heal. I struggled like mad on that until I ground a few levels out.

IIRC there is an item you can throw on her that stops the heal? I tried that but ran out, then got killed by the lunge/swipe thats crazy fast. :(

All right, rebought the game as it's on sale now and I had some spare money in my PS Store wallet. Can't be a***d about renewing PS+ so I can at least freely tie stuff up and go into NG+ when I have to time.

What weapons are you all using? Mylar run and first dlc playthrough were with the Blades of Mercy. Really rewards aggressive play more so than usual as I think it does more dps the faster you attack or something, can't quite recall!

I've just stuck with the threaded cane. It's awesome. Also using a sword that transforms in to a kind of gun sword as well. Handy for when I need a torch.

I've also put a bit in to arcane, and used some spells for a bit, but they use too many bullets. The one that adds arcane damage to your weapons is good though.

I'll try out weapons for real on my second playthrough.

I use Uncanny Burial Blade at +10, Saw Cleaver +9 and Holy Moonlight Sword at +9. It's a hybrid quality (slightly favouring Skill) blimp with 25 Arc than I plan to pump more in NG+, no level restrictions as I don't do PvP, it's just for fun.

Beat Ludwig first time. Really good boss. Only had half health left and no vials.

I didn't make my usual mistakes this time. .. I know if something in a Souls game raises a sword above its head an AOE attack is coming. This time I was ready!
