Dude I'm excited about bloodborne too. It looks amazing, but I have to step back a little and wait for reviews not the sony hype machine show what looks like playable vids. They did this same think with kill zone, then found out the playbale vid's were just vid, not playable. Microsoft is the same as sony. It's all about making money. I just want a good game that's worth my money.
 
LOL what Sony hype - they showed a reveal at E3 and then another trailer at Gamescom with a playable demo. Where is all this Sony hype?!? Perhaps its just people that have played the Souls games that are interested in a next gen sequel that are hyping it?

And please dont be so deluded in thinking that owning all the platforms makes you unbiased :rolleyes:

lol like I said earlier, It's only in your fantasy it does. I love gaming. Could care less who makes what as long as it's good. So yes it's all in your head dude. If it makes you feel better then you keep saying it.

Anyway to make this conversation useful, why do you think its over hyped? From what Ive seen there isnt much out there other than Souls fans trying to get more info about the game - Sony have stopped people trying to film the gameplay so I dont understand where you see theres undue hype.

Knowing a Souls game is coming to next gen which isnt just a 'copy' of the other games but attempting something at least different to keep the mechanics fresh while having the best of Sony and From involved seems to be something to be eager for myself

I don't think Sony has even attempted to Hype this yet, I was actually surprised at E3 that they wasn't shouting from the rooftops about, it's could be a massive title for them and certainly one of the most interesting on the horizon.
 
Darth.mader smart gamers get hyped about a game due to the studio making it and known developers involved, not the scripted previews and shovelled marketing they receive.

In the case of Bloodborne the studio making it "From Software" and the developers involved are some of the most creative game creators around right now, they have made fantastic games very recently. Basically hype over Bloodborne is completely justified.
 
I am just laughing at all the hate towards this game as it's a Sony exclusive. PC and Xbox gamers crying and hoping it fails so it gets ported etc. What a salty bunch, every console has exclusives and some big ones to and only way to get around that is owning multiple consoles.

Haven't seen much "sony hype" though Darth, it's all hype from people who played Demon Souls or have been following it since day one.
 
Yeah my hype is purely down to my love of the previous 3 games linked to this. Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2 are my 3 favorite games since the PS3/360 era of gaming - and all 3 easily in my top 10 games of all time.

So it's quite reasonable to get excited for this first next gen release.

If there was only 1 company I had faith in to delivery what I want it's this one.

Plus, the change in mechanics with regards to offence > defence, risk/reward for healing really interest me.
The possible hints at things involved with co-op and PvP also sound really interesting.

This looks amazing! I hope we dont get downgraded visuals like what happened with ds2, however i doubt they would do that again after the out cry!

Looks familiar, yet different enough to be unique from the souls games

Want. Was that a glimpse of co op or do we think npc? He was a lot taller :D
 
Thinking NPC - Im just in love with the agility - notice how he dodges that second wolfs attack 3 times in a row. Feels like theyve made the gameplay far more faster like a Ninja Gaiden

I need to find out how you change weapon in this as it could be touchpad based as they swapped to and from a torch without any obvious menu.

From that it does seem to be a throwback to Demon Souls as it looks like its healing 'potions' (which work fast) rather than something refillable (only saying that as at one point they had 15/16 of the things) - really hope it has a level system...

This game looks interesting to me, I never played any of the Souls games, but assume this will be ok to start with considering it's not officially one of them even though from the comments of a lot of people it seems similar. I'm keeping my eye on this one.
