look great, wondering if the combat will get repetetive though? Also with all that slashing would like to see some limbs flying off or something.. feel it needs a bit more? Love the setting of the game tho, dark themed.

If you haven't played a Souls game in depth then combat could appear basic at first - but if you delve into it in more detail each weapon offers vastly different play styles due to their move set and attack speed. It really changes up how you have to play.

Most players will just stick to the basics and never deviate but if you try different styles it actually has a fair bit of depth.

That's how I feel anyway

ah ok that sounds pretty good then. There needs to be depth like that in these type of games otherwise itd get boring fast imo.

We can't say for sure how related this is to the Souls games, but for the series in general so far I'd say the biggest thing is 'you get out what you put into them'
There is a lot of depth overall, but it requires some effort from the player to really experience it. You can just go through the games with 1 weapon, 1 build and never change it up but the game is designed for you to approach various situations differently.

A basic example is playing with a roundhouse style swinging weapon, then enterting a bunch of confined corridors. Your weapon is now not very useful so you change it up to a stabbing spear or a faster, more agile rapier.

The game is subtle about it at times, but it does encourage players to really try a variety of styles.
Hopefully Bloodborne is similar but we can't be sure yet

Yeah, there's plenty to get to grips with in the Demon/Dark Souls games. The move sets for weapon types, how mobs behave etc. There isn't anything else that plays quite like them. Whether Bloodborne has the same variety or not we'll have to see. It looks like you have the same weapons all game, they just have different forms you can switch between? To be fair that may add more variety on it's own as people tend to stick with the weapons they're used to and swapping on the fly isn't always feasible. It looks like you're walking about with the equivalent of a bunch of weapons all the time in Bloodborne!

I always remember those first tentative steps in Demon's Souls which seemed so punishing yet rewarding at the same time. Learning and pushing just a little bit further every time. Thinking 'yeah I got this now' as you walk round the corner and meet the red-eyed knight for the first time.

If this is even a little bit like Demon's then I am all over it.

Overhyped? No way, Watchdogs and Destiny would be examples of that. This game will probably be too hard for me but I like the look of it

The link they send I cannot log in to I know password is right as I just logged in using it on the ps store ?

On the link it says something about your efforts have been noticed, so I reckon they have sent emails to people who have played demons souls

Yea i reckon, i have trophies for finishing all souls games so maybe that, but apparently sony have said even those with emails arent guaranteed a place.. Even though it says we were selected.

I hope we get in, got so excited when i saw the email lol. Apparently people can register using the link in the email anyway, i saw someone posted it on reddit, but they may have a system to only let those with matching email addresses in, god knows... Want

Hm who are these e-mails from?
Just so I know whether whoever is sending them has my e-mail address at all.

I must have played 200+ hours on Demon's Souls and the same again on Dark Souls 1 and 2!

Thing is I've played them on on different accounts over the years too (although played all 3 on current PSN account) so no idea what e-mail address is registered with who. lol
