Eatchipz my one is absolutely identical to yours. It was delivered in December, I was a bit upset in the beginning but have decided to live with it. If you look at it from a normal distance for a computer monitor you can barely see the bleed though, what stands out is IPS glow which is to be expected for a monitor this size.
The bleed increases the glow a bit I think, but I've done a side by side comparison with my 27'' Cinema Display which I thought was flawless. That one has zero bleed but a bit more glow which is even worse. I've never noticed the glow in 4 years of using it.
Testing different shades, it seems it's virtually invisible even on very dark greys. It's only noticeable on pure black (lack of signal).
What I've realised is the chances to getting a perfect one are slim. Even then you'll have IPS glow. This one has no other issues, no dead pixels, no colour uniformity issues. Who's the say the replacement will not have a dead pixel and will have less bleed?
Dell will likely refuse a second replacement, their warranty doesn't cover dead pixels or bleed, even if they do replace they'll send a refurbished one or one already sent back and repackaged. If that happened I'd have had to DSR and I wouldn't risk such a big fragile item over normal courier (monitors are on most couriers excluded lists, which means they won't pay insurance if they damage it or it goes missing). Too much hassle.
I wanted it to be flawless for the money paid, but most of all I want to enjoy the monitor. What I realised is that if I let this nag me in the back of my mind I won't be able to, so I let go and honestly it doesn't bother me now.
PS: if you enable Uniformity compensation it helps a bit with the bleed. If you do decide to return, try the rubbing method first, people are saying it works great on this monitor and gets rid of most bleed.
