As much as I want the November release to be true, I very much doubt it is. Hope i'm wrong, but I think it won't be out until 1st/2nd Quarter of next year.

I hope they don't release it in November and finish it properly rather than rush it out as per the comments above regarding November deadline.
 
can't come soon enough, they spent bloody ages on it - I like games that come out at the end of the year because you can play them over the xmas holidays and thats the best tiem to play games, all wrapped up warm inside, with hot drink, nice food, and lots of stuff to kill :D
 
Went into Game today and they had D3 boxes on the shelfs available for pre-order. I asked the guy behind the counter about any known release dates and he said they'd been told it was coming the end of the year, possibly November.

/edit: Actually I just looked, and it's a horrific word to use in this context but apparently not made up rubbish :)

D3 playable demo at some show in German later this year and rumours about a playable demo that could be released between yesterday and September (/never)...

Having boxes in Game store is quite a big step though. Wouldn't have thought Game would want a preorder box sitting there for ages. That makes me more hopeful...
 
Retailers don't know the release date - they just want your pre-order money. Duke Nukem Forever is an extreme example.

I doubt there will be a demo released however I do think they will do what they did for Starcraft 2. I suspect they will release trial codes you can give to your friends that allow for X hours of play time.

The playable demo at GamesCon 2011 will be the 2010 BlizzCon build ( source - Bashiok, Community Manager on the Diablo III forums)

I did post something then I realised how wrong I was. I said the NDA was being lifted in one hour! :p

Aye, probably better off posting nothing than that. :p

I've been hearing lots of good rumours around how trading between players is going to work. Didn't want to post them in case they turn out to be garbage. We'll no soon enough hopefully. :)
