New announced feature for Diablo 3 after the king buyout

Indeed every other franchise has had an announcement and not even a sniff of Diablo mentioned.

Doubt they'll drop expansion news on the one panel their doing.

Might be time to put it to rest for me.

Infact the only new thing they did show was that you can get the wings from overwatch in D3 if you preorder it.

do you even follow the diablo news?

The panel tonight will have the info which was leaked in the post i linked earlier. Prob a big info dump for 2.4, the new sets, set dungeons, stash space etc.

Just because it isnt in the spotlight (it doesnt have an expansion coming) doesnt mean they have left it in the dirt. D3 is in probably the best state its been atm, looking forward to see what the panel reveals later
 
Yeah, that really does look excellent. I'm hoping they will still address some things before they bring out season 5. Such as how easy it is to acquire your items (few hours at the start of a new season), how essential being in a 4 man is because Paragon is just so damn important to get on the leaderboard and there doesn't really seem to be any incentive for solo players. Still, those changes are fantastic.

I need to jump back into Diablo. Stopped playing a few weeks ago because of the lag, hopefully it has been fixed.

They said on the panel lag wont be fixed this season but they have fixes on the PTR which will be up next week for testing with 2.4.

For the solo vs group play they did mention some changes to it for the next patch.

1. They still want groups to be more efficient to encourange people to want to group but they want to lose the gap.

2. To fix this they have completely nerfed xp gear bonuses, the example they used was the old fat reg gem which was a 41% xp boost is noe a 4.1% xp boost.

3. XP will now come from monster kills and the way to increase that is to increase the massacre bonus. So if your solo and get a really high density area your xp multiplier will be huge.

I would guess that a 4 map group will be able to get a higher multiplier, but then again they will be killing stuff a lot quicker so it will be hard to tell till we hit the ptr

They also intent to test a 3 month season with Season 5 and if it works out it will be the new season length
