***The Official Dying Light 2 thread***

I actually think Denuvo encourages people to pirate games more. You pay cash for DL2 with Denuvo or get DL2 for free with Denuvo removed. This is a really bad decision.

Codex over to you.

You tend to lose a lot of features with pirated games, anything online, mebbe coop. Denuvo doesn't really put me off too much, will be getting a copy X 2 for me and my son to play.

*though will be waiting the price to drop a bit as missed the cheaper preorders

Guardians of the Galaxy, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Deathloop, Far Cry 6 or even Anno 1800 (from 2019) are still uncracked

Not a fan of Denuvo either but zero chance of my cancelling my £25.99 CDKeys pre-ordered based on that. I really enjoyed the first game which I got cheap as it was a year or two after release and had a lot of fun with it. The devs deserve that money as far as I am concerned. It is well priced and there are not many games these days that I look forward to. Saw enough on the ACG pre-view to know they deserve the money. My 2 cents anyway :D

I forgot Deathloop was another Denuvo game. This for the most part performed much better than Resident Evil Village, especially as I didn't play the game until after the 1st major patch. Unfortunately there is a bug with DLSS/RTX and the Sniper file scope. Which would result in no actually x-hair / marker on the scope. Ended up just running around no scoping enemies for fun.

Won't be cancelling my pre-order, game is looking promising and they have uploaded plenty of untouched "gameplay" footage now, including footage for old gen consoles.

New trailer which shows a glimpse of the choices system:

Given that their last game just received another dlc content/update only a few days ago there, I expect them to do more of the same for this one as well.

Essentially, unless the game is incredibly broken and awful... Price is only going to stay at £35 or more likely go up further...

The anti-consumer software Denuvo that can affect gaming performance like we saw with the Resident Evil Village PC release, has just been confirmed in use, perhaps by accident via their tech support.
The DL2 Steam store page was updated shortly after this news broke out with: DRM: Denuvo.

WOW so they were going to keep that quiet til the day, that is not on and really dirty.

Did they eventually remove the denuvo from RE Village? Because I had no performance problems with Village but I did buy it a while after release so I dont know if it was removed?

Steam says it still has it. Maybe you played the cracked version?

With the state of AAA gaming these days i will never pre order anything, i am not desperate for a gaming fix as my Steam, Epic and Origin library is more than enough to keep me going.

I would rather let a game mature for a bit, like a single malt, then dive in when the time is right.

On that note, thanks to all you invested beta testers, your investment into an unfinished product allows those patient gamers to enjoy a finished product without all the issues of a day 1 release.

Please don't take the above comment to heart, I've been gaming since the early 80's and have just found that the waiting game is the only game worth playing.

Lol, nope played the steam version, didnt have any performance issues, actually ran really well considering some of its graphics which is why I wondered if they had removed denuvo. Maybe something about my rig means that I just dont have denuvo issues

Could be. As I recall my issue was with the boss vampire ladies daughters. When they became bats there would be a momentary slowdown. No biggie for me.

"Hi there,

We will shortly be refunding your purchase of Dying Light 2 Deluxe because we can’t complete your order at this time.

This doesn’t happen very often, but unfortunately today is one of those days where we can’t get enough keys for the Deluxe edition.

We know you’re excited to play Dying Light 2, and we don’t want you to be disappointed. To make up for this, you can use the code 5TS39DZ5B1FA to get 5% off any games on CDKeys, including the standard edition of Dying Light 2 between now and the end of February.

Depending on your payment provider, it might take up to 5 days for the refund to appear on your account.

Your coupon code is limited to a single use, so please aim wisely!

Apologies for the inconvenience."

I'd pre-ordered in early Jan for ~£35
