You mean no fans needed? Nice, seen them in the UK for around £35.

Yup totally silent. You can add a fan if you are on quad [which i will be after my holiday] or if you are really pushing a chip.

Sounds familiar... :D I'll have to consider one for that reason alone!

Not sure you can get them in the UK yet but it performs ona par with my 120 and is passive.

Nice. You could always strap a Nexus fan to it and it would be even cooler!

Okay, it's getting a bit warm so I'm going to stop here (call me a wimp if you like).

I quite like where i have this CPU, not bad for 55 notes

Sounds like your ram is set wrong.

Run orthos blend test and I bet it fails.

I'm using 2 x 1GB OCZ Gold DDRII 667 Mhz PC5400 on the ASRock 4CoreDual. RAM is running 1:1 with the FSB so it is running at 295Mhz at 4-4-4-12, Command Rate 2T.

I'm running the FSB Asynchronous and everything else is unaltered. Using the latest 1.8 BIOS from ASRock's website.

One question for everyone on the 4CoreDual. On the Primary IDE channel, both my drives are running at Ultra DMA Mode 5 but on the secondary IDE channel, my other IDE hard drive is only running at DMA 1 when it should be DMA 5 as well.

The secondary channel is set-up -

Secondary Master - DVD Writer (optical drives all run at DMA 2)
Secondary Slave - 120GB Maxtor (should be DMA 5 but is at DMA 1)

Would swapping the DVD Writer to the Slave and putting the 120GB Maxtor to Master make any difference to the DMA rating?

I'm using mismatched pc3200 (it's value ram i think) The ram is set at 333Mhz in the bios, so with the divider, it's runnign at 185Mhz, i think the timings are 2.5, 3, 3, 7. Umm, i'll have a look when i get my new PSU (pc down until i get the PSU on monday).

My ram is set to ddr333, it doesnt even get close to its 200mhz stock. Ive tried 1t and 2t, both crash anything above 2.4ghz.

I can start orth get through 1hr but if i try do something else, like surf the web, it can crash  Just reboots itself.
