Am still at Jaques station have not been back the bubble since January when I set off for distant worlds.
Not sure if I will go back to be honest.
Fastest way back is to buy the cheapest ship you can and take risks hunting in it, then when you die spawn back in the bubble rather than taking the insurance payout, thats what I did, saves a weeks worth of flying, plus if I get bored I can strip something out to get the legs and fly it back to Jaques..
I did it for the Corvette and then see the spec of the Cutter and thought 'I want that one', so had to pretty much do it from scratch. Shortly after I took a break from the game

anyone doing the community goals atm, I'm currently taking a break from sothis/ceos runs to do my first one in absolutely ages, money is poor but its a change from doing the same runs, currently in the top 10% of the pesticides / h.e. suits one, but I must admit didn't take much to get there in a corvette, anyone else doing one, how much you done so far so I can gauge if its worth me trying to get a higher tier
That is community goal hunting. I always get interdicted and attacked at any CG if I'm in open. It's a good way to get a pvp fight if you are looking for one.
I'm still heading back from teh Small Worlds Expedition in my Viper Mk4 - looks like another trip to Jaques is organised for December / Holiday time and they are asking for armed escorts, freighter ships and passenger ships as hopefully the 2.2 update should have landed.
They are hoping people will take the opportunity to try out the new jump mechanics using neutron stars to gain the jump range buff.

Spent another evening grinding Engineer unlocks and dealing with tediously slow mission boards. I'm not entirely sure it's worth it sometimes as the only reward is more grinding, but with added RNG!

So glad it isn't just me with the slow mission boards... I've just been watching a few videos by ObsidianAnt and he always seems to be able to accept and complete missions quickly, I'm guessing maybe he edits the videos.
No word of a lie, everytime I select "Mission Board", I'm stuck loading for at least 10 seconds (I've counted
), and then I wait another 10 seconds every time I accept a job. Almost the same for when I complete one. It's a big problem - I just pray it's fixed in 2.2, or I could be close to rage quitting again Ditto but it feels more like a server issue than a code one to me.
Yes, server was very bad last night, couldn't even log in at times.
Again spent the evening grinding unlocks for a couple of engineers to level 4 all i needed was lvl 5 FSD for the GPV CONDA to scoot around unlocking them to lvl 4 with phosphorous and sulphur. (I dont run any weapons on the conda, pure trade/mine)
Will then take the corvette to get some decent upgrades for weapons etc.

OK finally managed to get some Imperial ranking done - now up to Baron.
BUT all I am getting now is empty Empire missions - this is in HIP 10716 which is supposed to be full of of Boom Data missions. The game seems to want me to go back to Fehu and just do the donation missions :-/
