That's just awful advice, while it might work why bother playing if you are just going to cheat the system?
That exploit is fixed now.

Aye I Was, I couldn't go any faster though and couldn't get supercruise to engage as I was mass locked until I was at about 70km altitude. By which point I could engage my jump. The differences in speed: you were probably boosting in metre per second. Supercruise will do kilometers per second (up to several times the speed of light which is hundreds of thousands of KM per second), then you have you Jump drive which is instantaneous moving from one system to another over lightyears per second (silly fast and basically teleporting to the destination but with a 'loading screen' of twirling lights)
You should be clear to enter Cruise from just past 2km altitude... assuming you go straight up. From there it's maybe 30 seconds until you start clearing the planet and getting up to Mm speeds for in-system crusing.Aye I Was, I couldn't go any faster though and couldn't get supercruise to engage as I was mass locked until I was at about 70km altitude. Was going at about 45 degrees. I'll try again tonight. Was so annoying! You should be clear to enter Cruise from just past 2km altitude... assuming you go straight up. From there it's maybe 30 seconds until you start clearing the planet and getting up to Mm speeds for in-system crusing.
Jumping direct to another system should be possible from above the 2km mass lock altitude, so long as your line of sight is clear enough.
You didn't still have the landing gear down or weapons out, did you...?Was going at about 45 degrees. I'll try again tonight. Was so annoying!
Lol no. I did double check though. No scoop either. You didn't still have the landing gear down or weapons out, did you...?
Might have just had unusualy high gravity, or been one big-ass planet with hoofing great mass lock... There are a few like that.Lol no. I did double check though. No scoop either.
It was a big mother of a planet. Should be able to find it again so I'll test tonight. Definitely starting to enjoy the game more as I learn more. Pirate hunting is next on my list of things to try.Might have just had unusualy high gravity, or been one big-ass planet with hoofing great mass lock... There are a few like that.
I love how this game doesn't hand hold at all, but this is ridiculous:
Engineers:
I need to find 1 meta alloy
Any recommendations for places to grind some Empire rank. I hear Wu Guinagi, Fehu and Quince mentioned a lot.
