Finally ! :D

Just lost it in a scrap against a master diamondback explorer :rolleyes: ha. I was shredding through everything with 6 gimballed multi canons. Don't know how this one got the better of me. 80k CR in debt now :eek:

How are you finding the asp? I have about 13 million, plus a dolphin and a type 6. Just undecided on what to go for next. I was going to try trading, but find passenger missions easy money

I really really like it ! The size is a bit jarring at first coming from a small vulture (the asp is a medium) but, it feels like it handles just as well as the vulture !

It has 4 small hardpoint bays and two medium. So you can kit it out with some decent weaponry. I was shredding through normal sized ships yesterday with 6 gimballed multi canons. (I even managed to down an expert python !) I had all canons mapped to the first fire button. It was a Total bullet storm :D

The shields feel like they regen faster too.

You've also got the generous cargo space of 42 I believe.

I don't know if it takes a cabin though

Edit. Jump range for me at my current load out is about 12ly. Which isn't great. But not bad.
 
I'll be keeping the Dolphin for transport, as that range (dolphin, orca, beluga) are the only ships that take luxury cabins (for the uber rich! :D). Just trying to decide on a ship to mess about on!
 
The Dolphin is a lovely ship just to pootle about in :) I have an Asp Explorer (49ly) totally stripped out and engineered for out of the bubble exploration. Then a Diamondback Explorer (45ly) for in bubble every day pottering about, with a vehicle bay etc. Those two are my main ones, and then other stuff comes out to play for specific tasks.
 
Mmm So the ASP is where it appears to be then! Will trade my Type 6 for it since I CBA running trade routes. I'd rather explore for the crack of it

How the hell you get 49ly, saying that ive not done engineers yet, not sure if i should attempt it after what i hear.
 
Back into playing ED at the moment, especially as it's so good on my new ultrawide monitor :)

May try ranking up with feds or imps. Any tips on best place to do this?
 
Well finished the corvette weaponry after putting it off for 6 months due to engineers.

2 multis on OC, 4 beams on efficent, and 2 long range bursts.....

Its a shredder :)
