Good, be nice if they showed you which systems you have missions in as well when you are on the galaxy map...
 
What does it mean when you are flying through a system and a NPC contacts you with something along the lines of "you're a hard one to find, come with me if you want something worthwhile..." ive ignored it up until now, am i missing out on something?
 
I love it when they say don't worry the scan doesn't hurt....Er yes it does look...And then let loose on them......muwahhahahahahah

In my experience, no. They will try and offer you a deal or try and convince you to release the cargo if it's slaves or something. I've just ignored them.
 
Ah man got my rear handed to me last night.

I've got a MKIII kitted out with 1 laser and 3 cannons. I saw a strong signal source and stopped for a nosey. Found 3 cannisters floating and when I approached one to pick it up 4 ships dropped out of nowhere (didn't see anything on my scanners) and handed my ass to me on a plate :( Good job I had enough cash to rebuy my ship and stuff lol. Lesson learned. Don't stop unless you've got 4 A grade guns :/
 
Strong signal source in a Cobra, that's brave... even with 4 A Grade guns you'd have most likely been dead. The ships were cold which was why you cannot see them on your scanner. The lesson should have been, don't drop into strong signal sources in a Cobra (I'm wary of them in a Python) and cargo for the taking in a signal source is bait.
 
Selling over 6k worth of systems at 200% exploration data profit (rank 5 Sirius corp bonus), it's going to take a while but should be worth it :)
 
Federal Corvette sighting in this week's newsletter!

Apparently it's going to feature 2 small hardpoints, 2 medium, 1 large and 2 huge; not entirely sure how to feel about that, given that huge weapons are of limited usefulness as things currently stand.

Finally saved up and bought myself a Cobra! :D

Not been a fun morning though, took a mission to kill a few people, should have read the fine print, turns out I was hired to kill the police. Now I got a bounty on my head. Is there anyway to get rid of it, or do I just have to wait for it to expire.

Also took an assassination mission to kill someone who was ranked at mostly harmless. Found him in deep space, used my new Frame Shift Drive Interdictor and prepared to engage. Turns out he was flying an Anaconda with a load of turreted weapons.
I escaped with 37% hull. :(

You'll have to wait for it to expire and then go pay the legacy fine.

After 212 charity missions at Tun, finally got my rank progression mission for Post Captain :)

I took the plunge a couple of weeks ago as well; it's a leap of faith to an extent, but I'm very confident I'll get my money's worth.
