I've got it - I find it handy as never have time to edit my photos when I'm at home. With the iPhoto app I can play with my photos while commuting.

I use sky sports news app on my iPhone however it does not work with my iPad. I have downloaded sky sports but you have to pay ?? Bloody cheeky.

Can anyone suggest an alternative app?

Dida is 3 iirc, 3 have an app that logs into the MY3 page and shows your sims account balance.

Snapseed is ok however, I use it if I need to make a few adjustments to photos.

If you really want iPhoto on the iPad 1 and willing to go the extra step, this might work

Thanks, I didn't know it was possible but I guess it should run ok as it also runs on the iPhone 4 which has a similar amount of processing power as the iPad 1.

I'll give this a go, I've already got GarageBand so it would be nice to have iPhoto also.

I can highly recommend 'Brian Cox's Wonders of the Universe'. Sort of an interactive journey through space and the chemistry of life. That is if you're into that sort of thing. Looks gawjus on the iPad 3

Khan accademy is a great app, 1000's of lecture videos on there, you can stream them through the app or download them direct to the ipad so you can watch when you dont have an internet connection, its also free, excellent app.

and AVplayerHD, cost £1.99 and lets you play just about any film format on the ipad, good quality. 2 must have apps imo

Khan accademy is a great app, 1000's of lecture videos on there, you can stream them through the app or download them direct to the ipad so you can watch when you dont have an internet connection, its also free, excellent app.

Check out the TED app if you like the Khan one.

will definitely try that. Have downloaded a lot of them on iTunes U and they are really good.
