******* The "official" Essential iPad Apps thread (with stars) *******

Thanks for that mate. But the coding of a pdf document looks pretty complex and ahead of what I could do. The pdf my dad uses isn't overly complex but still.

I have found an app called PDF Expert. It looks like it will work but I have emailed them first explaining what I want to do so hopefully they can confirm it for me!

Why can't you use a word file and Cloud On? As far as I recall, when I last used it, it gives you a "full" MS Word and you save the file to Dropbox. He can then use the Dropbox app to e-mail the ile to the client/customer via any e-mail app on the iPad.

The best weather app (WeatherPro) just got a whole lot better.

MeteoEarth

Tempted by this, I've been using Accuweather Free version for my iPad, I've become a bit of a weirdo weather watcher of late, wanting to know if it's going to bucket down when I step outside the house.

My question would be, have you used Accuweather before? and if so how does it compare?

Bastion is currently 69p, great game.

Cheers for the heads up, been meaning to pick it up at full price anyways, played it on PC, the soundtrack was unbelievable.

You can't "save as" using CloudOn. I have tried using both the PDF and Word doc.

I need to be able to "save as" as each document will have different figures etc in the fields, hence why I made the template.

I've not used Accuweather .
I have used WeatherPro for nearly 3 years and it;s definaltey worth the £2.99 for the App and then £3.99 for the premium content for 12 months.
I mountain bike in Wales, Scotland and the Peaks and need accurate weather by the hour. This app has been spot on and saved me a couple times i.e. going to ride up Snowdon in 50mph winds - we changed our plan :)

MeteoEarth is from the same company, MeteoGroup. It doesn't provide as much weather info as WeatherPro but is visually stunning.

BTW - F1 teams use forecasts from MeteoGroup :)

I was wondering if you guys could help me, I'm looking for a wallpaper app which allows me to have separate wallpapers for portrait and horizontal view on my iPad, does anyone know of one?

Don't think Apple allows that so you won't be able to, there's certainly no setting I can see that lets you specify different wallpapers for each.

If you jailbreak, you might be able to but I don't know.

Last night I just finished the fifth and final episode of The Walking Dead (and just finished the first episode of the TV series ;))

What an amazing game! I erge you all to download the game (first episode is free at the moment - an absolute steal!)

Can't wait for the second season :D

I also downloaded Bastion which I'll try tonight :D

if they are in pdfs just use em with ibooks

Tried Sidebooks and cloudreaders Both free and both work ok with an Add file to app option in Itunes.

Heard Sidebooks can't handle too many CBR files or it will crash, not tested it yet with more than 4 issues. But Cloudreader is meant to be very stable. Both no frills but fast enough and nice enough for free optons..
