Well..... Seems that part of Nova alliance, of which my corp is part, headed out into 0.0 to setup a 'home', and 3FA have apparently taken exception to this. I also heard unofficially that some of Nova paid a visit to 3FA's home system. I just hope they've not done anything stupid and stirred up a hornet's nest. Should be fun, anyway, give me a chance to brush up on my PvP skills, ie get ships blown up a lot :)
 
I've spent a bit of time in Syndicate but only about 2-3 jumps from Reblier, but I can't afford to take my domi in there, having already lost 2 from player attacks while I was belt ratting and setup up for BS/cruiser spawns (Grrr at roving pairs of vagabonds, the minmitarr assault frigate thingy :) ), so I tend to tat around in there in a t'rax or an atron if I'm setting up insta's.

How did you manage to die ratting, I hope you were probed down in your safe atleast ;)

Seriously look into getting yourself aligned with an alliance of some kind, its sooo much safe deep in 0.0 than it is 3-10 jumps from empire. id estimate that im earning approx 100m per session (about 3-4hrs night) rating.
 
vagabond is the Minmatar Havey Assault Cruiser.
and is one of the best PvP to get.

Favoured as Roaming Attack ship as sticking a 10mn MWD on it get you upto ~4km/s, a nice speed to get into Gun range Quickly when belt Hunting players. and Autocannons fitted pack a hell of a wollop.

Saving up for one :)

I have a Muninn though, Awesome ship to fight Sansha's. cant tale on triple Battleship spawns with ease.
can keep my tank alive with a Small Tech II repper ant EM/Therm II hardeners, wooot \o/.

I HOPE MY calculation are right,

Vaga's base speed is 242 m/sec

Navigation gets that up to 302.5m/sec

Vaga's Ship bouns brings that upto 378.125m/sec

MWD II boost takes (687.5%, with acc control skill) it up to a 2599.61 m/sec

Not quit 4km/sec, but with Nano/overdrine, Speed boost implants and even a Gistii MWD wil prolly take it over 4km/s mark.

i have seen a video with a Vagabond in to doing this speed. ill have a look round for it.

a Claw can to 6km/s with local Overdrives and a Gistii MWD. :eek: :eek:

Nova are moving that way, and I've heard about the 'goldmine' of deep 0.0, but getting there through Syndicate's a PiTA. It's a real hotspot, but I'm gradually getting insta's setup and venturing deeper.
 
if you know the right people then deep is safe, reblier atm is the base of cruel intentions, who are trying to kill syndicate residents.

as for the vagabond, it definately does 4k/s i have done it, lost it, yadda yadda.

but have gone for the muninn, does absolutely amazing dmg, but doesnt tank really.

anyway back to revision :)

I dont suppose I could possibly join one of your corps to give me a bridge into 0.0 could I? Seems its really the only way to go without being targetted by everyone :p
 
retro, what sort of things do you want to do within 0.0, that will influence highly on the sort of alliance/corp you want to join.

mining/npc/pvp etc

First off, a MWD on the vagabond will get probably get you killed, it dont need an MWD. itll do well over 1000ms with a tech 2 10mn AB and skills (1650ms with a low grade snake set (without omega) and high navigation skills. Secondly, its got a VERY strong shield tank with a kinetic hardener (75/60/70/60). Add a large shield extender II and you can have around 5000 shields. Thats a lot for PvP but like any ship, youll lose it in a swarm of enemies, but in 1 on 1's you'll find it hard to find a ship that'll kill you unless its specifically setup to take you out.

With the falloff, you can also orbit over 10km away so you can stay out of webifier range.
