I know complexes and pvp

PvP is not a good way to make money. PvP is infact entirely the opposite, its one of the quickest ways to lose it! The only form of PvP that earns money is mercenary / pirating.

Wrong. PVP is a great way to make money. Being a merc or a pirate doesn't mean you earn lots of money. If you take 20 ships to go kill one guy, your not gonna become rich. If you take 2 ships to kill that one guy and you can kill 10 people per day, then you can see how easy it would be to start making money.

Then, every so often you come across some guy with faction mods and 6 billion split between 3 ppl goes down quite nicely.

In most corps, everyone in a frig swarms round the can and suddenly there are only a few cap relays left in the can.

If you really want to make money from pvp, join my corp. We are the richest pirates in the game (who don't mine/npc AT ALL). That being said, you have to actually be good at it.

Pie inc were on a routine patrol of a few systems once, when one enemy hauler just happened to jump smack bang into a middle of a fleet of about 20 mixed Apocs, Geddons, and assorted cruisers and frigs. No escort, nothing. Of course didn't last long. Turned out he was shifting most of his corps (who pie are/were at war with)raw materials and lost the lot when his hauler went boom. Couldn't believe our luck. Kudos to the pilot though he took it with good grace. One other noteable was that we had just started our patrol from Amarr (same type of numbers in our fleet)and came across a lone enemy pilot in an Apocalypse. After waiting a couple of minutes for him to take action it turned out he was afk. So of course we took action and promptly took that ship out as well. Got all the raw minerals in his cargo hold. I recieved the kill mail, and saw in surprise that he had NO guns on at all and 7 miner 2s. He obviously figured that it was safe enough to jump afk on auto from where he'd been straight to the heart of the enemys empire to flog his hard work.

Mind you it cuts both ways. After spending most of an evening mining afk in an out of the way spot I got greedy. I thought "what the hell another half hour and call it quits". Came back to find my pod floating in space and all that work down the toilet...

Can someone help me out, Ive downloaded the trial thing, the 500mb file. When installing it gets to installing resFace or something, gets 67% through that and fails  whats up with that?

Mining AFK in 0.0? Not a good idea!

Errrrrr, odd? I deleted the bad install, changed the directory of the new installation and now it gets to resMusic.stuff THEN corrupts :S very strange... Hope my hard drives not dodgey....
You could try downloading the individual .stuff files from the patch section of eve-online.com and putting them in the directory before hand

I had that once and it turned out i didnt have enough HDD space, but then again at that time i had about 1.5gb left.

I have 104 gbs of free space in the secondary partition of my drive which is where I was installing it to.

to top this off now my whole rig keeps locking up and freezing completely. This has been an awful day for my gaming... :(

Biggest loss I have witnessed was an itty5 fitted with 5*Local hull conversions and in his belly was nothing but Zydrine.

13,500,000,000 ISK loss..

Sods law of course the minerals were blown up instead of left in a can.

Im just back to EVE after 2 years and 2 months away. Whats the best miner for Gallente and how much does it cost. Im currently using an Iteron MKIV which has a capacity of 9,581.5m3 with 3 cargo upgrades but it can only have 1 miner 1 i think, so is pretty slow at mining.

No kidding...

Brutix should be cheap and easy to get into, that'll give you, what 7 Miner IIs?

Or you can take the Dominix battleship route and fire 6 Miner IIs and have a fleet of up to 15 mining drone Is mining for you.

No Kidding :) I quit after about a month of the game going live. Had a bad experience with a corp i set up and quit over it in a bit of a stinking mood, lol :D

I'll have a look and see how much your suggetsions cost, but i suspect i've nowhere near enough Isk yet.

oh dear oh dear, was in 0.3 space (doing missions) when a raven came into system and ransomed me 100mil, well i didnt want to loose my ship so gave him the 100mil, then a cruiser came in (i suppose they were friends) and blew me up and podded me....so im left with nothing, i had a clone which was good, but no isk at all, and just an ibis...man this game sucks hard when you have nothing :(:(:(
