so your telling me your not interested in the best minerals, officer and commander spawns, that usually drop circa 100m loot per pop, pre nerf bounties, the best complex's,and the fun of pvp?

Note he said unless you're in an alliance.

He's saying that 0.0 is better than 0.1 to 0.4. :)

Did you see the first line of my post?
I live nigh on permanently in 0.0 space, as part of STK Scientific, in the Ascendant Fronteir alliance (the one that has the first Outpost in the game, a station all of its own.)
I wouldn't trade 0.0 space for empire any day of the week, but I also wouldn't advise heading into 0.0 space or stuff lower than 0.5 without being in a corporation or alliance that holds some relevant space. Like it or loathe it, thats where the power lies, and if you go into 0.0 space without an agreement with said holding corp/alliance in place you'll end up on the blunt end of an NBSI policy if you're unlucky. *shrug* Its up to individuals to take a chance, of course, I just wouldn't advise it. Anyone caught entering ascn space that isn't an NAP partner or in alliance gets escorted or shot.

I'm going to have to bite the bullet, and join a corp. I want to get exploring, and see the other sides of the game. I'm gallente, and based currently in Verge vendor, but I'll happily relocate :) Any suggestions?

www.stkscientific.com Come join one of the best corporations in game. We have sizeable empire and 0.0 space operations, and are part of Ascendant Frontier, one of the largest alliances in game.

If you want to Join a Mining & Production Care Bear Corp, which do Mission running Occationally the Join OcUK, based in Isikano.
if you want to take a bigger risk then Join STK-Scientific, and join us in 0.0 for a great time

Ahh sorry i missed the 0.0 part of the post, my bad, its hard to read all the posts with my boss kicking about ;)

personally, if you can afford it i would go out to 0.1-0.4 asap, but jsut take ships you can afford to replace, there is fun to be had by all out there. I remember taking one of our new members (2 weeks old) out into 0.3, by chance he was aggroed by one of the resident pirates, who he promptly blew away, the funniest part was the pirate scrambled him so he couldnt escape, so our member had to fight, teehee

I personally live up in the northern territory 98% of the time but il be moving back to empire to protect our newer players after a war dec from a merc corp dropped thru the post this morning. Should be plenty of fireworks in empire tonight :P

One of my few podkills I've managed was under a "if I'm going down, you're going down with me" situation, and came about courtesy of two Large Smartbombs I had fitted. Stupidity led me to hope that I hadn't been spotted by an Iron/G alliance hauler, but I should have known better. He called in the mercs, and I fell into their trap. I had a full tanking setup on my Domi, and it lasted a surprising amount of time, but still not long enough to get me in docking distance of the station. Eventually I realised I definately stood no chance, and fired off my 2 large smartbombs (was mission running against drone missions just before), about a second apart. First shot blew one scrambler up, second shot destroyed his pod. Moments later I got concordokkened :D But hey, I was a dead man already, and at least this way I got some repspect from the merc corp.

Who's dec'd on you? The MC alliance, or just a weedy solo merc corp?
We had one a few weeks ago someone paid to attack us, but to be honest they did a better job of running than they did of fighting. They kept resorting to gate hanging in empire, so ASCN just had a roving squadron or two that went to wherever reports of hostiles came from. In the space of a few days we'd blown up numerous battleships at the cost of a handful of alliance members ships. Hardly surprisingly they terminated their contract and cancelled the war dec. No point flying if you're losing money hand over fist.
MC have been doing a much better job, though we still can't figure out that they're making much profit from it, given the losses they're in curring. They must be being paid a nice amount to justify them!

We have been war deced by an independant. Not particularly worried Tbh, after checking their stats they at something like 720 for 250 which is pretty shocking for an "uber" merc corp. The funniest thing is they will be worrying about their bottom line wheras we will just be having fun, isk is near meaningless to us :)

ahh good ole smartbombs, i remember when i thought it was a good idea to fly a raven with circa 600m worth of DG mods on it, that was until i dropped my keyboard while reaching for a drink and set the smartbomb off right outside niyabainen m19 (1.0 space) HAPPY DAYS!

"you have been WTFOMGWTFPOONEDBBQED by el concoddoken" :D

I've never really understood this desire to fit ships with rare modules that cost twice as much as the ship itself.. they rarely offer a huge boost over a T2 component, at least certainly not worth the extra cost. My attitude maybe as a consequence of me having spells where I can do naught but lose ships, but still.. its crazy :D
When it comes to selling bits we've picked up in Complexes or from named mobs, well.. gotta love it that some people really want to spend that much on 'em.

rare modules dotn cost you the time in trained as Tech II modules do thats why.

Correct, take for example the DG large sheild booster, 20% better than T2 but with none of the skill requirements or cpu/grid problems. And the DG smartbomb, with an extra 1000m range and more damage. Elite modules are nice for missions.

Well first day of our war and we had 25 hostiles in local, with everything from HAC's to interceptors vs our cheap as chips fleet on 11 kestrels with standard fittings, needless to say they nailed most of the kessies but we got a claw, and did more damage isk wise :)
