Jestar has a point, the osprey has a huge mining bonus.

I'd forgotten what it's like being a n00b but I created a new account about 10 days ago. It's quite refreshing learning all the skills from scratch again, and this time the character has a defined career path in that I know exactly what I want him to do.

I must say that OcUK corp chat is pretty dead though, that surprised me :(

we're just going throgh a slow phase atm, the corp goes through lean spells then better spells :) we're just a bit slow from the new year that's all :)

wasn't it just the link to the windows XP patches fixing the stuttering that people using dual core chips were experiencing?
 
I cant see the best move to make after my Osprey - Mining is my main profession, but I don't just want a big hauler thats going to get my ass handed to me should I come under fire...

Also, in the market, what are the entries highlighted in green?
 
Hi all, new to this so be nice, :D

Just finished the first few missions, and tried a mission to kill some pirates, but my laser didn't touch them.

Got myself an Inquisitor ( Amarr ) as first ship upgrade but still only got the
civ gataling pulse laser, not a clue as what to do next??
Don't won't to do just mine for a living.

Can you guys point me in the right direction.

Edit: got a Maser but it needs frequency crystals and the cheapest I can find is 200,000.00, only got 80,000.00 so anywhere I can get them cheaper or is it saving time? got a laser focusing crstal by mistake, what can it be used for?

If there is a sell order, the person will pick it up from that station (so it may be in the same system as the buy order or 5 jumps away).

Had a good night last night. Got a call for from a corp mate in a thorax on a level 2 Human cattle 5/5 in Sortet, the one with the HUGE amarr fleet at the end. Grabbed the Domi and in we went. I was seriously impressed with the way my Domi handled the fleet's agro. Had 4 CPR II's, a LAR II, active therm, kin, and EM hardeners, and energised plates to match, giving me 78% therm.kinetic, and 82% EM resistance. The Domi is an absolute workhorse for PvE combat, its so easy to get a solid armor tank going on it.

What types of NPCs were you up against? As they were Amarr type, surely they were using Lasers? In which case you'd have been fine with something like:

2 x LAR (T2 preferably, 'accomodation' vestment if you can't use T2)
1 x EM active hardener
1 x Thermal active hardener.
1 x Thermal Passive

then just fill up the rest with CPRs. You should pretty much be able to run all that near indefinately, and soak up a ridiculous amount of damage.

Looks to be good to me (apart from the 24hr downtime) :)
