DanSolo said:well not wanting to give up too much intel, quite frankly yes, but were having far too much fun doing Rebel Alliance esque hit and fade attacks We have some extremely experienced PvP players from various mec corps in the past that have joined us because they like the way we operate. If they can be arsed to organise a 25 man fleet of battleships to follow around a bunch of kestrels, fair enough, they probably used more ammo than the cost of our kessies
Lil old me said:Hey guys i just started this as a Gallente. I'm doing the agent missions you get after you blow up the drone the delivery ones. I have ammassed about 280,000 ISK and want to buy a new ship as the starting one seems to be awfully slow and useless. What would you recommend?
Archangelus said:Incursus, without doubt. Mine served me well untill I made the mistake of using a Catalyst destroyer (x9!). Went back to the incursus untill I could get into cruisers, and I'm still using one now for the smaller courier missions. If you set it up with either 125mm or 150mm railguns, and use Tungsten or Iridium charges, you'll have enough range (25Kish) and speed, especially coupled with an afterburner, to stay ahead of most things you'll encounter in level 1 or 2 missions.
/steps back to be shot at by the more experienced players

dont tell me your part of the merc corp that was hired by a numpty that stole from our hangers, stole ships from us then employed you
Archangelus said:Fair enough. I'd been ingame a week or so when I got my first Cat, so it's a setup issue, rather than the Cat just being a crap ship. I didn't / don't have access to T2 stuff, so that probably explains my lack of success with it.
Dj_Jestar said:No I'm in STK (eve name = jeNK)
Garp said:Don't worry, you'll probably always face setup issues with ships, generally its good to ask around for typical tried and tested setups, often there are quirks that work better that you'd never think of.
Feek can probably remember my first attempt at a Dominix setup.. I had entirely the wrong end of the stick.
My Ferox setup wasn't that fantastic either until a few poeple chipped in with a few suggestions and I suddenly went from a passable shield tank to a stonking one. Ferox is a kick-arse battlecruiser, almost as good at soaking up damage as a BS.
