The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Keep getting seriously tempted to reactivate my account :o
It's relatively cheap and I could do with a game to settle into again.....but then again I know I might not have the willpower :o

I've got my final year approaching with a dissertation to do (although at least that's on MMORPGs) so I have to knuckle down :(

Better knuckle down then and get some PvP under your belt for research. ;) :p

Looks pretty much like it - none of the corp members have been able to get in touch with him.

He actually did the deed on Saturday and I noticed the removal while I was logged on roughly this time yesterday. I queried it in a thread on the corp forum hoping that either my EVE client or the server was playing up and one of the other directors confirmed it later this morning.

IIRC, Dym thinks he's been seen on the corp forum in the last 24 hours, so he'll have seen the thread. Hope he's feeling proud of himself ...

This accusation of theft against him is unproven, in that we know it was him that took the cash, but not his motivation or reasons. We can only go on his behaviour since and come to the obvious conclusion that we have been well and truly stitched up and there is now 1.5 billion ISK in the hands of one of his alts ...

My condolences to the OcUK corp... it's happened to my corp on more than one occasion and it really really hurts :( The thief had even been a director in the corp since the beginning of the game almost :(

I'm wondering why CCP haven't implemented a system where more then one person (if the corp wishes to) is needed to make or sped over a certain ammount. But I'm sure it's already been debated but left as it is.

CCP see Corp Theft as a valid occupation. It's down to the Directors to only give people they trust access to the corp wallet and unfortunately in this case (and many others) that trust appears to have been abused.

K.

I'm a little baffled by this as well, its exactly the way things work in the real world to ensure that corp theft is hard. If you need to write a cheque / withdraw cash above a certain value xx number of signatories is required.

A CEO authorisation would be good if there were a withdrawl of somthing over 50 million were to be requested.

still wouldn't stop them as they could simpley do multi with draws of 50mil. unless it was limited to say 50mil per day. with a request from a director to allow further with drawalls after that day.
Crap gona have to be carefull about what i say on OCuk channel now :(
Still at least it was only ISK that was taken and not any of the BPO's and rare stuff. i do hope this is all just a big misunderstanding and that the isk is taken to get a freifghter or something.
How do OCuk operate with regards to BPO's they belong to there respected owner?

Dave10 why errase your corp but leave your ingame name?
Phoenix. Only thing those seem to be good at are : showing off :D and taking POS's
