OMG Read This

NPC's getting a HUGE change, adding destroyer and battlecruiser sized rats. And having different faction do different actions.

Guristas will have some ships target jam, blood Raiders will cap drain, Angel Cartel will Target Paint (deadlier). Serp sensor damp, etc.....

I so cant wait for this.
 
That should prove an interesting change to the game, a bit of variation on the mission types wouldn't go amiss either. Would be nice to see a sneak around mission, something like 'kill the lone ship, grab it's tag/transponder, sneak into the pirate/merc/angel/whatever base, steal something valuable, and get the hell out of dodge.

I do struggle a bit sometimes in Level 3 missions with Merc Commanders and those laser beams of theirs. What's the best armour hardener to use against those bad boys, and is there an easy way (short of trawling through the database) to tell what damage is being done against you?
 
Guristas = Kinetic/Thermal
Serpentis = Thermal/Kinetic
Sansha = EM/Thermal
Blood = EM/Thermal
Mercenaries = Kinetic/Thermal/EM (EM from mainly the Merc Commander)
Rogue Drones = Kinetic/Thermal
Angel = All 4 damages

My major gripe with EVE at the moment is the problem about 0.0 vs. empire for cash making. If I hunt in 0.0 for a couple of hours, I would make about 10mil in bounties and probably get no good loot at all. If I did get any, it would be something like an XLarge C5-L booster, which is only worth about 8mil nowadays, because of all the Tech 2 and faction modules. Some of my corp mates, however, frequently make 100mil from faction loot and BPCs in one night doing a complex in 0.7 space in a FRIGATE! It seems that Exodus is running in reverse gear at the moment, it's much easier, quicker and safer to make money in empire than it is in 0.0... what's going on? :confused:

edit: Someone I know in EVE was mining in a 0.7 system and killed off a few rats that spawned, one of which dropped a piece of faction loot/faction BPC that he sold for 96mil... and here I am in 0.0 in risking my apoc stuffed full of Tech 2 guns and equipment, making about 10mil every night through rat hunting... wtf?

Inquisitor, I don't know what level complexes drop that kind of stuff - are you talking 3/10, 4/10 or higher? I've pottered about in 2/10 in an Incursus, and not found much in the way of decent loot.

Oh, and Dymetrie... wtf?! Wasn't his choice? was he being blackmailed or something? I'm not even a member of OcUK, and I'm feeling your pain

It's a 3/10 complex, he does it in a punisher. He's found things like faction hardeners, Vigilant BPCs, etc. :confused:
