The *Official* Eve Online Thread

People like you...

Skully.. I'd edit that personal attack out if I were you. No point you getting a holiday over it.

edit: Looks like Davey is a bit quick..

Davey, the comment does have history.. whilst I agree that the post was an attack and should be edited, Gish^uk is the guy that stole all the money (significant amount too, a lot of hardwork) out of the in game OcUK corp quite a few of the Eve users on this forum fly for, which was sold on ebay for money.. emotions are likely to run high around him.

I've been filled in on what giSh^uK has done, and while I understand what some of you might be feeling, understand that the rules of the forum still stand. No personal attacks will be tolerated, and suspensions may be handed out.

Ignore it and move on please, I'd hate to have to dish out suspensions over this.

Good job D_P stepped in otherwise this thread would be 10 pages longer and the biggest pile of flames you would have ever seen in your LIFE :D

D_P : On the ball as always :D

Changing the subject, turns out that either BadmanEdmundo got wind of our little removal operation, or he was intentionally causing trouble in the corp cause earlier i had Dym crying over my shoulder ;) cause BME left the corp before Dym could swing his steel tipped boot. :( :D

i've just started playing eve (3 weeks now) - and I can honestly say I hope I don't come across any of you lot in my travels

you're a bunch of maniacs

Where are you based? Join the OcUK channel, and you'll see some of us around.

And your point about us being maniacs? errm.....

I'm in Oursulaert at the moment - don't know the regions yet, as the map is absolutely ma-hoosive. I've been into low-sec probably about once so far...

The learning curve on this game seems to be the steepest I've ever come across - but I'm rapidly starting to realise that it's most probably one of the the best PC games I've ever played in my life, it's amazing

All I need now is to learn the lingo - and theres a lot of it...

Ah, you're where I started, in Gallente space. The learning curve in more of a learning cliff, but if you haven't already found the official EvE forums, I'd strongly suggest reading through some of the threads there.

Avoid Low-sec space at the moment, as you'll get toasted in about a heartbeat if someone decided to use you as target practice. If you're lucky, you'll get left alone if it's .4 in empire, but I got killed in the 0.4 system close to Oursulaert just for being there. There's no benefit at all in going into 0.4 or below this early in your career. I've only just started making trips into 0.0, and I've been ingame 2 months, and the only safety net I have is that I've got an insta bookmark setup for my exit gate, and I head in there in a Battlecruiser for safety, or something cheap and disposable for speed.

Which ever path you take, have fun :)

Everyone joins an alliance corp at one stage or another (yes even I did for a while). Also, everyone is a carebear at the beginning of their life. But everyone should be aware that alliances are mid game and to really master pvp and master the game in general you need to join one of the elite pvp corporations (and I'm not talking about BoB or 5). Trust me, its like apples and oranges.

Quick history lesson time then to fill you in now that the whole thing has been sorted...

One night i jumped into Pakk to run some lvl4's where i see Countdown, a friendly local at the time, and a bunch of guys ive never seen before in the local channel. I warp up to the station to see the foreign guys camping the station and smacking away..not liking how they were speaking to my friend i chimed in and gave Count some assistance. They left after an hour.

3 days later, they (Slacker Industries) war dec us, and Countdown and the Unassociated (then not a formal alliance) came to the rescue. OcUK's entire population after being camped inside the station are broken out by Unassociated forces and form up into a squad for an attack on the Slacker's HQ. With the entirety of OcUK in tackling frigates and the Unassociated fighters all in battleships, we hunt them down in a 30-man squad, making them run for the hills. After several small skirmishes with them in Isikano, one of which resulting in the loss of an Apocalypse-class battleship as bait for 3 enemy BS kills, they retract the war dec and OcUK returns to peace.

However by this time ive had my taste and want some more :D

So i joined up and we've been fighting for the little guy ever since.
