Not that long ago I took a Domi up against three HAC. I deliberately insured it before undocking because I didn't expect it to last two minutes.

It lasted three :)

Funnily enough, one of the guys involved with this was someone I fought quite a long while ago on the highway to Impass. That was when I took on a Deimos in a Brutix and got him nearly into structure before I died. He convo'd me afterwards and said it was the best 1v1 he'd had against a BC.

I will kill him one day ;)

The Tutorial is pretty good compared to what it used to be. good for new players, It splits it up a lot more into sections.

There are also guides on the eve website.

Also if you plan on playing this again i suggest joining a new player freindly Corp i'd like to suggest OcUK but there are variuse other corps out there. dont be afraid to ask questions. When your in game join the chat channel Ocuk.

That was what I meant, post patch, the Thorax will be able to effectively mount medium blasters and a MWD and a reasonable tank. 1600mm plates will increase mass sufficiently to make them not quite as uber on cruisers (which incidently i swear was my idea first in a post on the eve-online forums.... :o)
 
Just reinstalled Eve since I got my new HDD and it... doesnt work.

I get the splash screen and then instead of the login screen, just a big, black box the size the login screen should be.

Any ideas? Downloaded fresh client from their website to no avail..
 
Fox, delete the contents of the ..\eve\cache\settings folder and try logging in again...

should sort it :)

oh and corpse, last night was fun, with a Raven and an Apoc nearly going pop :|

Nah mate, it was great fun :D

Seby not realising that an Apoc can tank a helluva lot better than a Raven (especially a Raven which has CR2 rather than a full tank :p)

His mate in an Apoc having no tank at all and aggroing the sentry turrets...

I giggled much :D

am now back in housing and have the associated problems with IT support being about as good as a dead budgie :(

as to not seeing me ingame, I keep forgetting to rejoin the 'ocuk' channel :rolleyes:
 
Thanks Dym, that tip worked.

Well, at least yesterday. Now Eve refuses to run, at all. I load it up, get the splash screen, and it just hangs. I've tried reinstalling it, same thing. I've deleted the contents of the cache/settings, same thing. Just won't run up past the splash screen.

Any ideas? :( Wasting skill training time :(
