**The Official Everything MMA Related Thread**

Gareth A Davies has been a complete clown ever since I can remember, it's embarrassing listening to him half the time.

It's a shame imo but I can see why - he's about to become a father and given that he's unlikely to feature in any weight class's title picture any time soon, this means he can take the medication he needs to live a healthy life!

I couldn't stand him right up until he did TUF 17 against Jon Jones and it completely turned me around on him!

Went to bed "early" rather than stay up for UFC 174; turned out to be the right decision, bit of a stinker to put it mildly.

i crashed out during the Eastman fight which was quite early on iirc, i checked the scores on wiki and decided it wasnt worth wathcing the re-run as too many decisions :/

Rory MacDonald @ 6:25.. camera shy? concussed? just plain weird?
i didnt watch his fight.. did he take some heavy shots? he doesnt seem too well imo :o

He didn't take any heavy shots in the fight, I just think he's quiet/camera shy... Not all fighters are going/want to be like Chael in press conferences. I imagine all of the press and media stuff related to the fights is a massive chore for most of the fighters.

I think Mcdonald is trying to tone it down a bit, he always used to come across massively over confident and had some lacklustre performances. I think he could take Hendricks personally if he is switched on for the fight.

Brown Vs Lawler for next title fight is a joke, Lawler should just be getting it. He arguably beat Hendricks first time round and took Ellenberger out. Brown hasn't beaten anyone of any note, regardless of how many fights he has won in a row.

Check out DJs face in that press conference, literally looks like he has just finished a 9 to 5, not been in a 25 minute fight!

yeah i think mat brown is going to get demolished, its a big step up for him.. most likely too big a step
*goes off to find odds on the fight*

EDIT..

That's actually quite a good price for Lawler, i'd have expected him to be shorter than that. Brown @ 9/4 is a totally mad bet.

its early days in the betting.. those odds will drift quite a bit before they fight as the $$ bets roll in for Lawler ;)
if i was to bet id be getting my money on now

whilst i was on youtube i came accross another vid thats worth watching, cant link as it has sweary's but search "Steve Mazzagattis Finest Moments" :D

Have to admit, i've watched every episode thus far and the standard of the fights has been pretty low. There's no charisma either, no clowning around in the house, no animosity between the coaches ... just a boring season so far.

Not strictly mma but if you like mma you shoukd give Glory kickboxing a try. There's been some quality fights with tournament format etx and super fights bin cards. It's in btsport ay about 2 -4 am on Saturday or Sunday nights.

melvin manhoef fights in it, cro cop, pat barry, etc

Zero comments on the two UFC events this last weekend....... actually that's about right given the quality! :p

Pretty grim stuff tbh, especially the Swanson vs Stephens card -
all decisions on the main card!!
although the Te Huna vs Marquardt fight was decent!

Looking forward to this weekend's Weidman vs Machida card - decent fight's top to bottom on the main card imo:

Chris Weidman (c) vs. Lyoto Machida
Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Alexis Davis
Stefan Struve vs. Matt Mitrione
Uriah Hall vs. Thiago Santos
Marcus Brimage vs. Russell Doane

Be interesting to see how Weidman fares against Machida!
