Yeah he said that, but when peoples contracts are up they can move. So if they want to go Strikeforce they can.

Sure the pay options are going to be far improved now it's under the ZUffa umbrella.

Top level fighter contracts I would have thought could be null and void any time zuffer wants, Due to they own both companies and can easy just offer them a better contract at the ufc, and both agree to disbanding the current contract. It's the lower end fighter they have to be careful of, who may not get a place in the ufc.

And as for fighter pay i can not really see that improving for anyone, now there is not any real competition.

I dont think the point is Fedor out of it because he has lost 2 fights, it's because under strikeforce M1 Global got 50% of the purse any card Fedor was on.

Dana tried to sign him before but refused to do business with M1 and he will not be sharing 50% with them now, surely?

So unless M1 are out of the picture I can't see him doing much under the UFC/Strike joint venture.

He loses twice and is done?

Why is everyone just writing Fedor off after 2 losses :/
Good point, if you look at most fighters especially the ones that have been in the game a long time they have quite a few losses under their belt don't they. Look at Randy Couture 19-10-0 (W-L-D) or Alistair Overeem 34-11-1 for example.

Here are "Shogun's" stats working a 300 lb. heavy bag:

Right Punch: Accelerates at 25 mph with 1169 lbs. of force behind it.
Right Kick: 2749 lbs. of force! That's harder than UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, who was clocked at 2700 lbs. and the hardest strike ever recorded in the Sport Science lab.

Wow!

Fairly misleading the comparison to Cain though isn't it. Cain didn't throw any kicks and his punch was 2230 lbs. Which is around double Shogun's punch.

Is Cain known for his kicks though?

Amazes me either way the amount of force in that, I couldn't even imagine what it must feel like to be hit by either!
Would kill any normal person.

heeheehee.... the comedy of it all.....

Fedor at lightweight, erm - no! Weak ground game, erm - no! UFC dont want to bother with the universally recognised best MMA fighter for the last decade, erm - NO!

Just google Fedor's history - I think you will find that 2 losses (against decent opposition) wont mean he will call it a day!

StevieP

Im not the only one... check previous pages a lot think fedors got a better chance at a lighter weight class...

a lot of people could see he was just out matched in size/weight...

2 losses doesnt mean hes out but just hearing him talk after the fight he sounds like he just wants to leave...

Anyhow will see :)

CroCop is a stud when he is the right frame of mind. I am not sure what it is lately that is making him not perform up to his potential.

Don't get me wrong I am a huge Mir nut-hugger & I'm glads he won. But The whole fight was stand-up so CroCop should have been able to put Mir away. It just seems like he just hasn't got the desire anymore & has trouble pulling the trigger.

Cro Cop is a MMA legend

But hes 36, his boxing and stand ups gone.. just look at the pat barry fight he only opened up cos pat barry said ive broke my arm during the fight lol and gonzaga already showed him how to execute his own leg kicks.....

Hes just so reserved, I think all sometimes when u have been knocked out so many times it just holds a fighter back and its happen to him....

Anyone watching the fights tonight?

I'm a huge Shogun fan but I got a feeling Jones is gonna take this, hope I'm wrong though.
