I did not envision that at all

Max has had WAY too many beatings - yes he's won some wild fights but he's taken some serious battering's even when winning.

I think it's just time for him to call it a day now. Amazing fighter, love watching him as it's 100% a great fight every time with him but Topuria is a monster and only 27 years old. As above - Max's chin has kept him in some fights over the years but he was absolutely blown away tonight.

Topuria could be almost unbeatable - he's extremely impressive all round.

Anyone see the Magomedov KO!!! Double spinning back fist.... Craziest KO for years.

Topuria seems like a more well rounded Conor with a gas tank.

I thought max was basically unknockoutable and would wear on him till the later rounds where someone as explosive as Topuria would slow down and max would get him late.

I thought Topuria and Holloway fight would be closer.

Great fight
Holloway was doing well until he got caught, it was pretty close. He certainly put in a better showing than Volk did!

Ilias power is devastating and I think he will knock Volk out again, because Volk does not have the same power punching technique and he also does not have the chin to take Ilias shots.

Ouch, no wonder the super quick tap! Freak accident or freak power?

Of course it's no accident, Khamzat absolutely shut down and brutally dominated Whittaker. He has the same kind of freakish strength as Khabib mixed with an unrelenting approach that does not give an opponent a chance to take a breath and recompose. The guy is a destroyer and I cannot wait to see him up against DDP (I hope DDP wins).

Rear naked chokes get applied to the chin all the time, to snap / pop / crush Whittakers jaw in literally a second is what I'm considering a freak accident - taking nothing away from Khamzat's overall performance though, he cut through him like a hot knife through butter.

Just watched the Shara Bullet finish.

Can't say I have ever even seen a finish like that!!

Best UFC event for a while last night for me (helps I guess that it didn't start at 0300 or whatever!).

Of note Rob had stuff done related to his teeth/jaw recently so it was likely weakened and more mush-able than it would have been otherwise. Still, caving in the area under the bottom lip/above the chin is pretty wild.

Khamzat deserves the title shot now. He is scary good and Whittaker I don't think even through a single punch - pure domination.

Forgot this was on until I seen on BBC the main event was about to happen,
quickly went to put it on, nope as its TNT box office,
this is another reason I moved away from the sport.

Along with, it gets tiring watching every fighter you like get beaten, which is what happened in the main and co main here.

Was this one a box office one? Ive watched all the UFC on discovery which is via TNT through a free add on my phone subscription. I missed 308 so couldn't say if that was the case this time but all the others haven't been BO

If its like it used to be, they do put some on box office each year. The event was on and I turned the tv on went through the virgin TNT channels and it was not there.
It then occurred to me, an event that is good for uk time, is the one you would pick to to make PPV. It used to be the Mcgregor fights that they put on ppv each year. (not just them though)

Great event on Saturday. Sad seeing Whittaker get finished so quickly and the injury that followed but damn Khamzat can look scary sometimes

Topuria/Max was bittersweet but a new star seems to have been born now with wins over 2 FW greats back to back…

A big stadium event in Spain would be amazing and easily accessible from the UK
