Sonnen's stand up is better than he get's credit for, because his wrestling is so obviously good. Could be a great fight if he makes it a standing contest. Can see him going for takedowns though just to be sure he gets the win.

Edgar 4tw - great fan of his. Possibly the best gas tank in the UFC this last year or two (before the 145 and 135's came in anyway). So impressive the way he survived and then dominated the last fight after getting a thorough kicking for the first round.

I think Chael will do what Chael does best, take him down and g&p. It will be bloody and Stann will connect but Chael to take it

Edgar to win, I can see it going 5 round though.

I would normally say Aldo to win, but he gassed in his last fight, and Florian is always in good shape, so I'll risk saying Florian in the 4th. It's his last chance, and he'll have to go for it.

Aldo is going kick the living bejesus out of Florian. Florians only hope is to try and catch one while it is breaking a rib and take Aldo down, but even there hes dangerous.

Not right now, I've really calmed down on the training and won't be fighting anytime soon.

Currently chasing my Judo black belt (currently brown) and just started training in Kyokushin with my father in law (he is a black belt)

So just currently doing those and some MMA here and there, I'll fight again but I am not in a rush to do so right now. It all got too much after my 2 fights, I don't ever want to turn pro and things just seemed to be snowballing getting progressively more serious.

So I'm taking things easy right now :)

Kyokushin is hardcore though, I tell you seriously tough training involved. Can only improve my MMA skillset.

Brock v Overeem. Could be one hell of a fight. Makes you wonder if they are deliberately trying to kill Brocks career though. He's had 2 fights in something like 12 months inbetween 2 harsh medical layoffs. They could have thrown him an easier bone before sticking him in with Overeem. Roy Nelson or someone with a chin, decent wrestling and BJJ good enough to be a problem on the ground.

If Overeem KO's him in Round 1, which is a definate possibilty - where does that leave him in regard to future match-ups? It's not usually something they seem to worry about, but I believe he is THE PPV draw.

Machida vs Jones for December :) Evans is out due to hand injury, glad the Dragons back, it sure does throw a spanner in the whole Evans "waiting for shot" issue but hopefully Jones will still be ready for Evans come early 2012.

As for Overeem vs Brock, gonna be a tough fight, uberweems predicting it wont go past the 1st round anyhow... Id agree, brocks not gonna strike exactly but can see him throwing knees or take downs after the 1st few punches which wont work since overweems got decent take down defence from werdum, and if anything he will use strikes from the legs and knees and power punches every now and then to defeat brock!

He absolutely is the PPV draw, all the moron WWF (or whatever) fans want to see a 'real' wrestler take on mma fighters.

wtf Rashad..asdfkdlj.. just getting stupid now.

He has pins in his hand and can't fight. Can start training in 4 weeks apparently. So he wouldn't be able to make that fight in time.

I guess they don't want Jon Jones waiting around while he is still fit and healthy.

I actually think Machida has a better chance than Rashad does, I'm excited for the fight.

Machidas lost his aura in my opinion. I think JJ will maybe even do something different and take him down just to show he can.

I don't think Machida is an easy fight for anyone, he never had an aura just the usual UFC hype machine behind anyone contending/winning the belt.

I think this is a great fight, and Machida has a great style to counter the long arms of Jones with his darting in and out style, also has pretty solid TDD and a good ground game.

By no means am I saying he will win, but it should be a competitive fight.

On a side note how do people feel JJ would do at heavyweight? He has said himself he is still growing and probably won't make 205 forever. I don't see him having the same success he has at 205 myself.

It may change his fight dynamics though. If he managed to reach 250lbs then I'd imagine his mobility would suffer.

Could he control Lesnar, could he out-box dos santos/Velasquez, could he take a punch from Shane Carwin?

It will be very interesting watching his career, that's for sure!

No doubt about that, I'm just thinking out loud really.

Just going off what he has said about his weight, and the fact he knows he will end up at HW.

I don't think his wrestling is as good as Brocks or Cains and his striking is not as good as Overeem or Dos Santos.

He doesn't seem to have great power at 205, maybe he would have more if he packed on lbs.

I don't think anyone can take a flush full power shot from Carwin :)
