I haven't heard that, he looks pretty dried out at his current weight, don't imagine the cut down would be easy for him.

I'd like to see him stay at 155 and work towards a title shot.

Poor event in my eyes.

It's a shame BJ just has never had the work ethic to match his talent. If he doesn't gas, he doesn't lose that fight.

Diaz calling GSP out at the end was laughable, you had the chance to fight GSP you clown and decided to tuck.

Okay-ish event. First two fights didn't bother me much.

Cro Cop seemed to give up too easily imo, but I didn't get hit by Fat Nelson so I don't know how hurt he was.

Kongo/Mitrione fight disappointed me. Was almost certain of a knockout but didn't deliver.

BJ Penn looked like he was almost crying as he walked out. You could just tell he was going to retire after the fight.

I just watched the highlights of Roy vs Cro Cop. Great to see Roy shedding the pounds, can only hope it continues and he hits LHW. I am pretty sure the Roy that fought Cro Cop would have beaten JDS and Frank Mir as well. Looking a much better fighter with a smaller tyre.

He is pretty much my MMA idol at the moment since I have started out, we are very similar shapes and weights.

Was the event that bad really.... I enjoyed it lol

Next weeks ufc now thats what I call bad and worser yet its in UK....

I enjoyed it, I had a lot on the line when it came to the BJ Penn Vs Diaz fight though, and the 209 pulled through after a tentative start.

Diaz owns, GSP is going to be really really tough though.

I just see GSP taking Diaz down and controlling him. An if he gets off some gnp with a few elbows, Nicks paper skin will cut.

I think the fight will get stopped due to a cut.

I'm super excited to see it though, love or hate Diaz he is a great fighter.

GSP will stand with Diaz, he's not stupid enough to take him down. Diaz stand up is one dimensional, if you can do what BJ did in the first round and slide and shoot with good head movement you can pick him apart. No kicks, no hooks, just piddly little slaps - i think he's there for the taking standing up.

Nick has a great ground game yes, but so does GSP. I think you are underestimating that, I doubt GSP will be afraid of Nick on the ground at all.

I dont know mate, I've got a feeling GSP will do what he did to Shields. It'll be fun - if Nick Diaz can make it to the fight that is without imploding.

I thought it was a bit unfair on Condit losing his title shot (for now) to make way for Diaz. But the fact Condit is being marked for the same card (superbowl weekend) suggests he's backup should Diaz not end up fighting. Despite what people are saying about GSP cleaning out the division and how he should move up to middleweight, there are still fights for the next 2-3 years at welterweight for him: Diaz, Condit, Ellenberger, Johnson and maybe Rory MacDonald further down the line although I'm not sure we'll see them ever fight each other.

Anderson Silva at middleweight on the other hand has no stand out fights waiting for him (except Sonnen) and he's getting on a bit, not too many years left for him. At 205 I reckon his stand up skills would beat most fighters, I think it's his fear of the big 205 wrestlers putting him on the ground that is putting him off moving up. I'll keep saying it but I'd love to see Rashad Evans or Shogun drop to middleweight to fight him.

Shield has 0 standup though, Diaz has great standup. Yes he doesn't kick often, but he is relentless and mixes his punches up.

I think GSP is in more danger on the feet than he is on the ground.

I agree with this. I think some people underestimate just how good GSPs wrestling and control is.

I see GSP taking him down at will followed by gnp and a unanimous victory.

I think a lot see that happening...

GSP is just too fast and powerful right now and proberly the most well rounded fighter in ww. He is unstoppable atm also.

I just dunno nick diaz has an X factor, I feel GSP will be a champ and simply out work him during stand up he knows his reach and long powerful jab can be done all night long and why not do this ? he can keep nick diaz a mile away with it for 5 rounds and when his face is a bloody mess he can have his fun time with take downs and wrestling.....

I could easily see nick diaz walking thru some of them and getting up and close and doing some damage, but I feel he may not have enough power shots to stop gsp and gsp will be smart and fast or take him down, diaz is pretty angry and he channels it well in the fight but against GSP its gonna be a long night !

Either way we get an awesome fight...

nate diaz vs Cerrone :)

Was gonna say for a second lol, shocking meathead only getting 10k and kongo silly money..... such a shame meathead lost his chance to be something great it will come again but hes gonna have to go on a 3 fight winning streak again to scrub that loss imo.

Crocop deserved it... dana musta given him a lot of cash on the side also guys a legend in mma, while he didnt go so far in the ufc he still done nicely and contributed.

Yeah. I think part of Cro Cops appeal was his mystique, and Gonzago put a big stop on that. You wonder what would have happened to Rampage if Marvin Eastman had KO'd him in UFC 67 (?).
