I cannot stand it when obviously poor players pick Real Madrid, put Ronaldo up front and just run with him and score. It's not only the most boring tactic ever, but the most rewarding for the average joe who never tries to vary their play at all. Leading to a horrible, boring game that you know you could lose in the blink of an eye despite your efforts to play well.

Seriously thinking about sticking to playing my mates and people off here. They're the only games I seem to enjoy anyway.

i succumed to the same "delight" of the ronaldo runs (haha) against my mate the other day, we had a 0-0 draw which i won on peneltys, then i managed a 3-1 win with two of my goals the luckiest ive ever had (the first was meant to be a cross which floated into the top corner)

So naturally he got annoyed and had to go for the easy option :p
 
Ronaldo I think is just too much, he's fast and strong as an ox. Sure Messi is fast but he can get knocked off the ball easy, same with Arshavin.

I can't understand why people want to constantly be Real, part of the fun for me is trying different teams out.
 
Can someone shed some light on this for me please. Everytime I play a online ranked game and I loss I play to the end. Everytime minus 1 or 2 times I have won they other players ALWAYS disconnects from the 80+minute mark. If they quit by just turning the ps3 off do I get the win and/or points.

Also.. does this effect my DNF %?

I think I might just cancel a game if someone goes for Real, then search again.

I ALWAYS move my selection to a Championship or League 1 team to see if the other guy will match his team with mine, when they still go Real Madrid it's a bit of a joke, so I end up going as Chelsea.

I had a great game the other day though, ranked, with League 2 teams, it was nice! :)
I also had a couple of Rangers vs Celtic matches ranked which was a nice change.

Your DNF% is only affected if you quit, not your opponent, and if it's the same as fifa 09, you are awarded a 3-0 win.

You CAN create a ranked game which has a restriction on the star rating of teams that can be picked.
 
Not sure about you guys but i have found fifa 10 VERY VERY buggy, i played some manager mode and i threw the ball out to my player but he froze whilst running and then stayed there, the oposistion walked about not reacting so i had to run my keeper all the way out to get it started again.

I also signed a player, he played a few games with me then some how vanished from my squad and apeared in the blackpool squad!!?? they didnt sign him as it was out side the transfers.
 
Does anyone find that the games you absolutely dominate, you end up losing and vice versa?

Im SICK of playing chelsea, I can beat any other team but them. Drogba is unreal, impossible to cope with even with the best players and their midfield is so overly strong there impossible to break down and run past.

One thing I've learned to do is to scrape a win in any way possible. The main way being to stick Crouch on up front and over use the lobbed pass's accuracy to get in and around their box quickly. Really does work. Spurs are very good in this, albeit with Defoe's pace being reduced and Lennon's being no where close to real life.

Im a spurs fan so I tend to use them a fair bit
