***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

I'm looking forward to ripping out all the unnecessary safety crap out of an '09 Focus RS so it isn't such a lardy bugger and seeing how well it goes. :D

Just got the demo 30 minutes ago, already loving it. Can not wait to get back from work tonight and fire this up with my steering wheel. My times are in the top 10% and I think I'll find it quite difficult to get too much higher really.
It's been a while since I purchased a game on release day but this will be getting bought!

After a snoop on the forum, apparently it's X class at the top now, with Rclasses coming inbetween that and S class. So i think production cars can now become Rclass. There should be a screenshot somwhere of a Veyron being R3xxx.

VVV with Dan Greenwalt interview and a nice vid of Fuji Kaido. Sound Q is a bit naff though.

This is getting close now, seen as there seem to be quite a lot of folk on here buying Forza3 are there any plans for scheduled OcUK Races? or even a league/mini league?

I remember good times with the old Forza2 OcUK lot and this game seems like it is designed to allow more varied game setups, built in Cat&Mouse and many other type scenerios, which can only be a good thing. :)

Inside Sim Racing's review..

That's a pretty inspiring review.. sounds everything most of us hoped for.. :)

I think you can get carried away with spending muchos monies on stuff, the standard wheel is good, the fanatec is much better, but 3 or 4 times the price better? no not imo, unless you have a dedicated games room, projector etc.

Best investment you can make is into a stand, even a Fanatec wheel will be pants on a crappy coffee table!

37minutes? Even if i love forza i think even my attention span would waver at half way through that. I'll watch it once it's loaded none the less, thanks for the link.

I think you've sort of missed the point. The Fanatec wheel is a wheel that works on the 360, PS3 and PC. I play racing games on all 3 and am fed up with having to swap wheels, for not that much more than the combined cost of the G25 and Official wheel I can have one wheel across all three platforms and with a consistent build and feel then that to me is worth while. If I was playing solely on the 360 it'd be a different story.

In your case the fanatec is ideal, dont get me wrong the Fanatec is brilliant, the price is about right for their volumes. But for us single console players its a very expensive bit of kit. A stand is more important imo, which with a standard wheel works really well.

Is this wheel worth £30 LOGITECH DriveFX AXIAL for the 360, seems like it will be turd for that price.

It's not really force feedback at all, it just takes the standard 360 pad rumble signals and applies them to pseudo FF effects.

Lol those simracing guys really are nerds. I got a bout 5 minutes into it and stopped. And the lady can't even read from a script. Nice to know they like it though. I prefer the giantbomb guys :D
