***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

He's mostly talking about features in ICS+ browser which I've also been using. It has extended quick controls, letting you swype between tabs, refresh, go back, go froward, new tab, close tab, bookmarks etc... all in 1 action. User agent allows you to force desktop view on all sites.

I've decided to use the Chrome beta for now too, gesturing between tabs is nice. The card system is very much like WebOS which you'd expect. Feels smoother overall and will no doubt get new features.

I'm getting angry with my GN...
More and more often when woken up from sleep, connections (Wi-Fi +network) stay asleep...icons stay grey.
Its like phone is in airplane mode...to wake it up I have to switch state of wifi( on or off)
Its a pain as you grab a phone to do something and it simply doesn't work...
Any one else experienced similar ?

OK, found a big issue with android 4, when i was on the underground this morning, as soon as we went under, my phone turned off. Im thinking that it has something to do with the radio, but i have had more issues with 4.02 than 4.01

Yeah I get this now and then. Seems to be something to do with a) my router (doesn't happen at at a friend's house) b) the ROM I'm running. Had it a fair bit with the Modaco ROM and the Android Revolution ROM but not at all with Team Kang AOKP.

i've never had the phone turn off when i'm on the tube.

i'm on stock 4.0.2 (KK6 radio), just with an unlocked bootloader and root.

i reckon the phone has gone fruity, next option if it was me would be to uninstall all apps since it happened. do a battery pull. then as a last resort before returning is reset the phone to stock for a day or two.

I'm on stock and not rooted.
It happens when only on 3g as well and only quick way to get it back on is switch wifi on. It works other way around as well .
A friend of mine eventually gave up on his GN( he had same issues)

I did too but eventually came crawling back once I realised how dire the competition is. All I can say is stick it out and hope that it's resolved in the next ROM update.

On another note, my chrome tab syncing wasn't working until a newer version of chrome went up on the Kubuntu repositories. It works ok but it reports my machine name as "Ubuntu 11.10" when I'd expect the actual name.

Keep encountering a problem with bluetooth headsets where if my phone has been on a few days, it will connect to the headset but it won't play any audio through it.

Have to turn the phone on and off again to get it to connect properly anyone else encountered anything like this?

(on a side note, does anyone know if there is a restart button for the Nexus, would be easier than powering it off then powering it back on again)

Hmm, I seem to get this on any ROM and any radio. I'm on AOKP myself, but it happens. Seems a pretty huge bug to me, surprised more isn't made of it. I don't even know how we can tell if it's reported?

For me, it only happens with WiFi though, if I use mobile data, no problems at all.

Yeah, I have this happen with my car stereo :(

Was just going to post about the greyed signal.

Had it today on gprs, 2 bars of signal but no connection. Had to on off the phone.

Happens a lot. Got to say, never had these issues with htc.
