It's different and it's bugged.

You aren't using proper ICS, it's a bodge job whatever way you look at it. Real ICS (stock) has a keyboard issue in the browser.

That is irrelevant because I'm using ICS with the ICS keyboard in the ICS browser, just like you. So unless ICS on the Nexus is different or bugged then I can't see how it differs in this regard.

It is relevant because you are not using stock 4.0.2 from Google and therefore not the official release of ICS.

If you're on 4.0.2 then maybe that's where the problem is?

Why not update to 4.0.3 or is that because there is no official 4.0.3 for it yet?

Robbo, that's correct but the fundamental workings of the browser/keyboard and integrated apps like those haven't really been changed in how they work with each other, core frameworks have been modified to work with the hardware on other phones but the apps (of which the keyboard and browser are some of) remain the same.

It is fixed in 4.0.3 as far as I know, but only the USA have got that so far.

Obviously something has changed, otherwise it wouldn't work. It does not work on the official Google ICS build for the Nexus (currently).

They seem to be having trouble fixing it as well, it's taken ages.

Ah that's a shame :/ Why did they pull it? I assume custom ROMs are the way to go in this case since the official update is as yet unknown?

At least you'd gain some more features going the custom ROM root I guess :p

yeah peeded off about it! i purchased the nexus so i did not have to root and rom anymore and get the updates first! not the case grrrrrrr... in the updates and bug fix for the volume it has been quicker to get from XDA so far....

Loving the stability.

On a side note my mate charged his on Saturday and it's at 25% right now. Pretty impressive juice.

I charged mine this morning now at 30% and thats with the extended 2000mah battery. Petty heavy on the juice.

But I did use 2 hrs and 30 mins of screen time on HSDPA ;)

im going to, the first one @ $35, fairly pricey but then i presume they are official back covers, postage $5 seems very reasonable. There is no difference in size from the Verizon version is there
