You realise the GN is also plastic, though the back cover has a more rubberised matte coating material :p The s2 is so thin that it gives that impression. Extended battery changes it a whole load :)

ha ha, i had the SGS2 from lanch, and it was a beast and i miss many things about it, but there is no way around the FACT it's cheap in feel and the most plastic of phones

Yeah I think it's a little on the cheap side too.

In other news, running 4.03 here, Codename Android ROM with Franco kernel. Great battery life, very smooth and text prediction in both Chrome and the stock browser :)

not ever tried the extended battery, maybe that would help. The feel of the nexus is completely different and you don't get the impression it is plastic at all. Anyway s im not attacking you or the phone, i miss many parts of the SGS2. was a good servant, and you know i have been grateful for your guides and advise in the past :)

yeah saw that had good comments, does bug me that 403 is out and around a in the wild! come on google pull the finger out!

So they fixed it!

How do you rate the smoothness in scrolling over 4.0.2?

Seems fine to me, certainly doesn't jump out as being wrong/bad/inadequate.

Yeah I feel your frustration. Buying a Nexus means that updates should be swift and efficient, and if Google think that an update that addresses predictive in the browser isn't worth putting out... then they're stoopid :( It should have shipped with it tbh. Reminds me of the Android 1.6 days... it's got to be pretty simple to implement surely.

for some reason my GN started to eat battery like crazy again....android OS is on second place after screen in battery usage and is 'awake' for 1/4 th of time phone is off charge...

need to give it back for 'repair' with my 'fault' today...
not sure I have a spare phone indoors....
