should not be happening really, i presumed you did a battery pull as something could be looping. i guess next step would be to remove any apps that have been installed of late and then maybe software reset, after you have done that it has to be hardware so contact airtime provider
 
There are many listings for oem replacement batteries for the Galaxy Nexus @ £7 on ebay.

I decided to go for one and this is what I received. As far as I can tell it is genuine.

In the first month, this kept happening and I had no idea. It would happen as soon as I brought the phone out of sleep, and it drove me crazy. Then when I first used NFC I recognised the sound and clocked on to what was happening.
 
Two question from a new owner:

1. What are peoples fav launcher for that stock ICS feelin' but with a bit more customisation? I've just tried Apex Launcher and liking what I see so far. Anyone got any other recommendations, or is Apex the best I'm going to get?

2. Where do people buy NFC tags from? I want to make my GN to dock with bluetooth in the car when I put it in the cradle thing.
 
I like Apex.

There's a thread here regarding NFC tags... bought some off Rainforest for a fiver or so. Difficult to find the thread using my phone. I managed to get a tag to turn my PC on over LAN :-)

Regarding the ring length, I would have thought it'd be under call settings (dial pad > settings) but can't find it either. Btw the setting must be a (wild guess) server setting, so maybe you can ask yo operator to change it...
 
Ive rooted my mobile...downloaded latest 4.04 from Google web page, have Clockwork installed and still rom manager says i have to install it...so I try and nothing happens...any ideas ?

want to instal CM9 and test this s3 package
 
Anyone else having problems with not being able to get a GPS location since updating to 4.0.4?

I have also been having issues with Wifi dropping out sometimes- I am hoping it isn't a hardware issue. :(

My saga with Nexus continues....
so after it came back from repair, few days ago I’ve realized that I can barely feel it vibrate...sometimes I cant feel it at all...so another reason to go for repair...again!!!

Is there a 'limit' to how many times phone needs to be repaired before replacing ?? I know I’ve asked before...I'm tempted to ask Jimlad to sort it out for me ;) as he most likely will succeed and I won’t lol

dont want to go back to Hero again....
