***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

I have no problems with this handset, and it's so smooth to use. Really glad I traded in my s2. Only thing that could be better is audio quality. My original galaxy s is yet to find any competition.

I recently bought the landscape desk dock so I don't have to use the plug to charge. Also have watched videos with audio to my amp, works well. Happy to answer questions or upload pics if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested to find out how you're getting along with the landscape dock.

How much did you pay, does it charge well? Does it go into landscape format when docked?

Happy with it?

i got grabbed a landscape dock (official) from ebay, £25 its well made and sits next to my bed, when i dock it default dulls the screen and switches to clock mode. a touch on the screen brightens it and touching the homescreen takes me back to the phone default screen in landscape mode. pleased with it and charges at normal rate.

care to share link?

Yeah I got the landscape dock. It's pretty good. Although sometimes it doesn't charge properly/flip the phone to dock mode. And if you unlock the phone whilst docked it won't return to dock mode without removing and re-docking.

I got mine as a gift, but I think it was between £25 and £30.

As said, the phone will go to the clock and flip to landscape. Never had a glitch or issue with that. Charging is the same as with the cable direct and a much nicer experience to just pop into a dock rather than squeeze what seems to be a very tight and delicate micro usb into the phone.

You can use the phone nicely in landscape in the dock too, and as said, the audio output will come through the audio out, meaning you can potentially link your google music library to an amp or similar, as you would with a PC. Shame the audio chip isn't a bit better, but you can't seem to get everything in one handset!

Overall very happy with it, and it's very well put together. Looks great on the desk. I'll try to get a couple of pics once I've shuffled things about (the USB cable for the charger is quite short!).

Must be to do with the processing/rendering power? I had the same experience with my SGS and SGS2.

Not tried the Nexus yet but just changed to an unlimited data plan so will do soon.

Got my landscape dock from the rainforest site today.

Pleased with it tbh, nicely made and docking/undocking the device is a very easy action.

Like using the phone in landscape mode too. Haven't tested the line out function yet.

^^ I been using AOKP with Franco Kernel for the past couple of weeks. I think the battery life is slightly worse than stock. The screen seems to take a lot more battery than usual. Of course, I may have just started to use a different brightness setting, or as I started from scratch my phone's set up slightly differently (no more useless apps, etc)... so could be a number of factors...

Still... I like the ROM!

Guys something weird is happening to me phone just now.

When sending you texts I can't see what I've sent? When I receive texts I can see the the quick sms but when I go to open the text it shows just old texts?

Franco usually dims the phone screen to a very low level (at least on auto brightness anyway). I gave up using it because it was too dim.
