I assume you do not agree with Google that the blue tint "issue" is in fact "normal" for the phone. Many people who have commented here seem to think that in day-to-day use it is barely noticeable.
From what I have read in reviews, the Pixel 2’s OLED display scored a color temperature of 6969 Kelvin, with the Pixel 2 XL achieving an even cooler score of 7035 Kelvin. This means both displays have a slight blue tint, though they’re warmer than last year’s Pixel XL.
But if it is a continuing issue to you I fully understand.
To me the pure Android experience, the idea that I will be getting the first of any new software updates from Google, the camera, Google Lens, and whatever AI and AR improvements Google brings to market will come first to the Pixels, outweighs what I fully expect to be barely noticeable over time.
Blue tint and blue shift are 2 different things.
On the XL2 the blue shift occurs far quickly at much shallower angles compared to decent OLED's.
And second I hope that in natural mode that they have calibrated the white point to the D65 standard which is ideal.
