**** The Official Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL Thread ****

Of course. We've got people that put these devices into cases and slap screen protectors on them. Different people, different tastes.

Biggest mess most people do to there phones is dbrand.

Tried them twice & there absolute trash for me.

I use screenknight on the back of my Pixel 2 xl & Note 8. Stops it scratching & gives me a near naked look & feel.

That's different? They do that for protection from drops etc, the skins offer little protection apart from scratches and are a fashion if we're honest.

The screen on the pixel 2 XL scratches really easy, trust me I did it to my first one and I've never had it happen before, I don't even know how it happened and it wasn't a micro scratch.

No, I have the skin for protection. I tend not to drop phones, so just looking for protection for when I throw/slide the phone onto a desk. There was also someone in this thread already that has been victim to the white back 'staining'.

So I just did the 15 mins charge=7 hours charge 'test' and it pretty much stands up. Phone was at 64% at 5.10pm, charged to 80% in a little over 15mins and here we are 7 hours later at 64% again. And to note I was doing a good bit of YouTube streaming to the TV etc, so not just standby time.

Which "Now Playing" log app are people using? I'm using a free one at the moment that was recommended on Android Central but I've noticed that despite my lockscreen showing songs, the logging app isn't showing it.

Anyone recommend an app that turns a string of pics into pdf ? Looking for something for my work expenses . Using a scanner seems dated

Dropbox now has a built in scanner feature which I find easier to use than camscanner. I used camscanner for a good while but find Dropbox better integrated and also means I don't need a dedicated app anymore.

I've had to RMA my Pixel 2 XL. Got woken up Sat night by the screen flashing (bright white) really fast. Did a factory reset but no joy - the display works maybe 20% of the time, then after a few minutes flashes white and gets corrupted. Never had to RMA a phone before :(

Just glanced at my phone and noticed I had a red tint. Restarted, powered off phone. Still red, change colour profiles (natural, boosted etc) makes no difference, adjusting brightness makes no difference.

When you restart phone the Google loading screen is fine its just as soon you you get to home screen etc.

Any ideas? Without doing a full reset.

If you bought it from Google they should give you an advance return, which is great.

I am also having quite a bit of bother with my finger print scanner on my P2.
At least a few times a day there has been a not recognised warning on the screen.
I did read that many others began experiencing this issue after 8.1 update which would tie in with my issue.
