They have the visual core, but that's a long way from bringing out their own SoC...

Sounds faulty tbh. No real settings to adjust, it should take great shots out of the box.
Is the lens clean?
Post a few examples?
Forgot you have to tap the screen to focus. Think Samsung use to focus on the centre of the screen automatically where as these don't.
Much better quality now I'm tapping screen.
Not sure I like the white navigation UI with the update to chrome 64... I guess nearly all the Google apps have it now on the pixel, but much prefer the black for Chrome, less intrusive on the eye.
As in the white navigation bar? It changes throughout the day. Sometimes it's white, sometimes black .Not sure I like the white navigation UI with the update to chrome 64... I guess nearly all the Google apps have it now on the pixel, but much prefer the black for Chrome, less intrusive on the eye.
Correct. It always focuses on the centre by defaultThe camera does focus on the centre of the screen I think? I always have a circle in the centre unless I press to focus somewhere else anyway.

I believe it was to reduce burn in
Yeah, I assumed it was to do with burn in. It was always black no matter time of day for Chrome though and it's always white for system settings and certain other google apps. Maybe it'll change to black in the evening now, will have to wait and see...
White is just too stark for me in Chrome though, which I use a lot. At least the top part, (other than the address bar itself), is a slight grey. I hope they change it back!
