**** The Official Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL Thread ****

Will keep tabs on pixels updates and see if the screen issues resolve. Just seen Oneplus releasing a 5T with reduced bezels and uprated screen in a couple of weeks, will also keep tabs on that as I'm tired of my S7e.

Me too, I'm itching to get rid of my S7E. At the moment I'm more interested in the OP5T and Razer phone that the P2XL I have on pre order. :|

I hope they've actually recalibrateted the natural setting to full sRGB rather than leave it as is with sub par reds.

Not sure on that for now, but here are some comparison pics from Reddit....

Google just need to pull their finger out and make Android support the DCI P3 wide gamut so we can take advantage of OLED screens properly... System wide and in all apps.

I think the saturated looks worse - the same characteristics I didn't like from OLED before.

Has anyone pre-ordered this on any form of contract at all, particularly through cpw? I see there is a deal on O2 for £49 a month with 15gb and £79.99 up front but then there's £50 cashback via quidco. Works out at £1205 over the 24 month contract. I am usually a stickler for buying outright and supplementing with a sim only but at £800 to buy I'm struggling to find a sim only that makes the whole thing significantly less than the £1205.

I have a 20% discount code for EE for the duration of the contract if you want pm me.

I am really pleased with the changes to the colour. When mine turns up next week I will feel a bit more confident.

So long as the blue shift does not bother me I am back to being semi excited

Thanks for the offer but unfortunately EE absolutely sucks here in N.I., or at least round where I live anyway, as does 3. We're pretty much limited to Vodafone and O2 (and any other piggy back services that use the networks). That being said Vodafone and O2 work like a charm so I've never been too bothered by it, just limits choice I suppose.

I can check tomorrow if I can get a Vodafone discount as well . Not sure

That would be tempting. To use it however does it not need to be done directly through Vodafone? They don't do the Pixel do they? Or are you referring to a Sim only discount?
