**** The Official Google Pixel 3 Thread ****

one thing to also consider, is the photos aren't always the same colour on every screen. i have a 3 monitor set up at work. each screen shows the videos differently, one is much darker so the lightened iphone photo looks more realistic on that darker screen, however on the other "correct" screens i have, the iphone photos look way too bright in the shadowed areas, blacks become dark grey.

the screen they view on will be different to the ones we view on, and the colour temp depending on time will also be different.

Agreed. That Is why I like devices that have an option for an sRGB calibrated screen.

Not sure if they've sold out or making changes but i cant see the pixel 3 in the play store anymore, well says unavailable.

edit: just popped up again. Pre ordered delivery expect 5-6 nov for me.

The Mate 20 Pro has thrown a spanner in the works. I wasn't at all interested when it was leaked but now that its been announced it has peaked my interest. All that bothers me is EMUI.

Great spec etc, but my concerns would be plummeting value & absence of regular updates.

Ordering a spigen rugged armour case and some random tempered glass screen protector.

I did half hold off waiting for the mate pro, although it looked nice i am not keen on curved screens. The smaller mate 20 looked quite nice but havent seen any real vids on it.

wow that video comparison is quite interesting. the microphone really is much worse than the iphone, though it did sound like the pixel did a better job cutting out the wind.

Yeah indeed, but the comparison overall was quite interesting, I expected the Pixel to be on par if not exceed it in areas, but to me it only done better in front facing selfies.

In that one, to me it looked like most of the iPhone shots looked slightly over exposed? (The daylight shots).

There are a lot of Pixel v iPhone tests. I have no interest in the iPhone though (as I would think a lot of Pixel users might be the same) so I would prefer to see it against the Note 9 or a Huawei perhaps.
